If hot air does come out from the gap just below the wipers on a rainy or cool day, then there's gonna be fog building on the bottom of the wind screen, won't it?

So what's a good effective way to get hot air out of the engine bay without getting water inside?

hmm...a good way to get hot air out of the engine bay would be to increase the flow of cool air into the engine bay... the only way i can think of is to increase the amount of vent space on the front of the car...without getting water inside not sure...

I have en evo 2 in my satria gti, and the hood kenot close cause the timing cover is higher than the normal hood level. So have to raise the end of the hood to accomodate the engine timing belt cover.

I dont think most of us has been graded C- or higher for physics?

fundamental physic
to channel air into the engine bay is possible, u need an exit too. a poorly designed scoop or air funnel will & could instead be causing more drag esp in high speed.

physical air outside travels much faster then air trapped inside (as car speeds).
Being in-motion will not see it replaces air within.

Esp being in a cabriolet; travelling in high speed (topless) creates an air bubble within passenger but it is also creates a drag.

aerodyanamics of moving faster is best illustrated by a "fish" shape. By having "wings" or aero stability creates balance to a car. wings are a form of drag by diverting air.

Jacked up hoods/bonnets will not help much in high speed but we do acknowledge that caught in traffic jam; by allowing hot air out is better esp the radiator fans arent working as well.

I sorry if the description above sounds condescending but this is the best i can to bring the level to the understanding of several forumers who "hijack bonnets"
