Yes it's the same HR16DE engine. Not sure about it being more zippy, maybe it's the throttle plate set to be very responsive to give an impression of good pick up. :) Anyway, I've tested it to over 170kph with 4 people and some luggage on board. Have taken it up Genting as well with full 7 people inside, no problem. Surely the 1.8 will be more powerful but IMO not necessary to spend the difference as the 1.6 is sufficient already.

My best avg. FC was >13kms/ltr using RON95 combined city/highway (maybe 35/65 ratio). Usually gets around 11-12kms/ltr coz often gets stuck in traffic jams around Jl. Tun Razak.

Not really la, a lot of people love Lexus... U can see lots of Lexus Myvi, Lexus Camry, Lexus Altis, Lexus Myvi and Vios is the most on the road... Lucky don't have Lexus avanza...only Lexus estima lol.

I saw some Lexus dugong Vios, Lexus Corolla Altis and Lexus Camry before. So far haven't seen Lexus Myvi yet. Don't know what's wrong with these people. Even those who drive KE70, AE80, AE92, AE101 and AE111 also they are proud with their Toyota logo. They din't change to Lexus. At most maybe change the emblem to TRUENO only.

Livina and Avanza somehow I felt Avanza more spacious than Livina, felt cram in a livina.

But power wise better la

The only advantage I know that Avanza has over Livina is higher ground clearance so the view of the road is better. Other than that, I don't know much. Service and maintenance cost don't know which one cheaper. The RWD and longitudinal engine layout in Avanza is pretty much redundant.

Hmm kinda disappointed actually! So far away from the concept design. The body proportion looks fat/bloated like Vios, the front fender looks like borrowing from GTR. Maybe the pictures do not do justice, have to wait and see until can see the real car.

Attrage and Mirage is alright. I've seen a Mirage with that sport bodykit and it looks even better. For Almera, it is just amazing that Nissan can come out with such a design as they have been known to be capable of making sleek and nice designs like S15 Silvia, 350Z, 370Z, R35 GT-R.
