BOT (Bolt On Turbo)

so far im running with standard 1.5 auto tranny and just bolt on HKS turbo kit stage 1,set at 0.25 boost coz previously this is my daily car,so no need higher boost..can increase to 0.6 maximum with standard piston/head..for ecu im using emanage ultimate rrp super ecu tuned for swift just plug and play,few thing to add on later like fuel regulator,fuel rail kit,fuel pump,and bigger cc injector ;) ..just minor turboed swift..

0.25bar boost, got feeling meh?
 
i see...so far if not mistaken if our car std NA maximum boost is 0.3bar... if boost more to that ie 0.7bar above need internal upgrade and strengthen fuel system.... bro how much u buy that HKS turbo kit?? what inside this kit?? turbo, manifold etc??

this is the low boost turbo im looking for my honda civic EG.... i think to get may be 0.3 bar just to get better fuel consumption and bit power only... cause im also daily driver... how much have you spent?
 
0.3 gforce? i push behind your car also faster than the 0.3, wait la until your wallet got 3cm big and do it one time job under one roof ma.
 
What? 0.25? I think better don't waste money. You have to factor in the inefficiency of the system and account for power loss. If you do 0.25, maybe you will only feel the force of 0.12 bar. The lowest I heard of boosting is 0.36 bar and that is for good flowing heads. For standard, people go for 0.4 or 0.5.

quite true, 0.25 better dont boost haha, the lowest I heard also 0.4 which is a good low boost. Should have pushed to at least 0.4 to 0.5 bar minimum, but like he said, the car is superb basic modification, fuel regulator also dont have

Management -E manage blue
Ic -Greddy hybrid custom aluminum
Wastegate -tail 38mm
Bov -Greddy type s
Gsr injectors 390cc
Extractor -Ss custom turbo extractor
Piping -2.5" custom Ss
ATF cooler
Nrg boost meter
Apexi custom air intake

Rest stock standard.

All above for low boost aiming at 0.5 bar.

I got new project for my k20ar now...engine already prepared setup for boosted application via TC.
Here's my spec...planning to boosted at 1-1.5bar targeted 300-400whp with 300-400nm of torque.

Engine -K20ar Ivtec Type R
Trans -6 speed manual
Clutch-ORC Twin Clutch
Turbo -HKS GT2530(disco potato) modded by Tong turbo to the max comp fin 53mm hot side fin 49mm with turbine housing ar.82
Management - Hondata K100
Ic -Custom Evo 3 size with SS piping n Samco
Wastegate -Tial MVS 38mm
Bov -Black SSQV
Fuel Injector-510cc low impendance Evo3+2 X 450cc vr4 Additional injector
Fuel Pump-Walbro 255lph
Extractor -Ss custom turbo extractor
Piping -2.5" custom full SS
Internal-86mm 9.0:1 Wiseco Piston + stock rod + stock crankshaft + ACL bearing,1mm metal gasket.
Stock head n block sleeve

Be sure to add in injector resistors for the low impedance injectors from 4G93 GSR.

Hmmm, i find this quite funny, since i dont consider Adj fuel regulator as a basic mod. Dont really need it until you've overrun the stock one with higher flowing fuel pump.
 
I'm running stock pump and without any adj. fuel regulator too here. Works fine for more than a month now but only on low boost max at 0.7 bar.
 
I'm running it on a b20b. Do search the thread as I recalled there was another chap bolted a k20ar ivtec before.

Oic....kekeke.Seeing the pages already shoot out until 200pages lor aisehhh..:biggrin:BTW,How much the power gain from ur BOT B20B?U change the internal part too?
 
Well l'll say almost 100 percent gain from running on 0.7 bar boost. Dyno chart shown before boost was 96whp and at 0.7 bar boost produced 178whp and 255 torque. Everything is on stock except the injectors using Gsr 390cc and running on auto trans. No slip in between gears.

Yours on the other hand are another monster to be since u are targeting high boost and around 300-400whp. I believe u need to upgrade your clutch, brake and suspension system as well to make it a stable street monster.
