in long term convert to type R is still cheaper than bot
less problematic
maybe, but id prefer charged engines anytime sir..
I think NA tuning and forced induction are beautiful in their own way... But in terms or speed, acceleration, nothing beats turbo... Take 2 engines, one NA and one turbo, even if they have the same power, what the NA loses out is in torque. Both may produce the same peak power, let's say 240 hp but the time required for the turbo to reach that peak power (translated to the road in speed) is less.
And I think BOT is very reliable if done and tuned properly... Have a few friends who do it... One of them is a idiot who blew up his myvi engine and another has a 4G91 BOT that has been running very well for years.. On just needs to know the power limit of the engine without internal mods... Different engines are different but as a rule of thumb, 0.4 bar is the safe threshold for a BOT without internal mods...
hope I can turbo my car one days... When got enough cash
