hi hi, need some tech advise, can you fit this turbo on a stock b6t without complications running on low boost?

Probably, yeah. Low boost on a big turbo is different from low boost on a small turbo. Just be very careful not to run lean as the VF8 is significantly larger than ur stock B6 turbo. But since u'll also get more lag, there's really no point in running a low boost big turbo.

this turbine has got a bigger compressor wheel than the VF10 (only the inducer side) and significantly bigger exhaust wheel...the exhaust wheel does not fit into the B6 exhaust shell...you gotta exchange the exhaust wheel of the VF8 with the B6...only then will it fit into the B6 shell and OEM manifold but then you gotta make the wasgate hole in the exhaust shell bigger in order to relief back pressure...unless you planning to use external wastegate then no problems...if not you gotta get the hole size just right...too big the turbine will lag coz the OEM actuator is too soft and can't take that much load...don't bother using the B8 actuator coz it's the same...too small you will get boost creep on the high revs...i don't know whether anyone has bored out the B6 exhaust shell to fit the original VF8 exhaust wheel but it's a good option...those days no one could do it so i couldn't try...are you confused yet??? ....GOOD LUCK... :(

if u want a quick spooling turbo i would suggest VF 10.
if u want power then there will be lag......
no lag = NO POWER.

there's not much difference between the VF10 and VF8 except the the inducer size of the compressor wheel only...if i'm not mistaken the exhaust wheel is the same...the exhaust housing is 20R wif 3 bolts...the B6 is 12R and the B8 180 is 15R the B8 210 is 16R...both VF8 & 10 turbines are from the subaru legacy...if you wanna BB turbine you gotta look for the STI turbines VJ2??? something...but none of them are plug and play for the B6...maybe you can try the RB20 or RB25 ceramic BB turbine...they are good for at least 250bhp at 1.1 bar on a B8 (wif management)...and cheap!!!

If u're looking for around 200hp on wheel, then VF10 is good enuf for B6T.
running at 1.2bar with proper exhaust system/external wastegate, racing clutch, u shud be able to get around 200-215hp on wheel.

VJ20 in a B6T shud get u around 175-190hp running at 1 - 1.1 bar.

bear in mind, B6T + VJ20 running at 0.9 bar with no additional injector is way too lean.. AFR reading is around 12.5 - 13 be very careful about that.

apa ini!!!..1.1 bar...run lah 1.4 - 1. 5 bar...i've been doing it...no problem also...since you already need extra fuel...may as well...with such a low comp should be o.k...but better to have metal head gasket...

used that set up about 3 years back...B6 stock internals...with front mount intercooler...HKS AIC 2 inj...HKS EVC...external w/g...that's about it...nothing much...i think i sold that set up to some killerbees fella...my car is still running fine just different set up..

my opinion if you want more power with the VF8 use the VF8 exhaust wheel (instead of the B6/B8 exhaust wheel which is the same) and B8 15R exhaust housing...should be able to give you about 270bhp...but laggggg sikit lah if no management...the combo with the B6/B8 wheel spools up very fast but power dies off at about 5,800 - 6,000 rpm (even with management)...think there is a lynx with haltech using this VF10 combo...think its about 2++ bhp...so depends what kinda power you looking for at the end of the day...

Hehe, thanks! Actually I got the Super Drager for only RM250 from a chopshop. Had to re-fiber it though, cost me another RM200 for that. All in all, it was quite a bargain. Your car looks pretty tight too. One day, maybe come out and yumcha.

Dear All,

I am preparing to do the above for my Volvo S60 came with 6 Speed Powershift DCT with wet clutches. I know Powershift isn't the most durable DCT around but this one seems to serve me very well for over 100k km's.

Just want to know, can the clutches rebuilt by replacing the clutch packs or have to buy the whole assembly that cost a bomb. Generally what's the mileage for DCTs ? Read from the web it supposed to last the "LIFETIME" of the car, which i call bullshit as the clutches...
