confusion....
most car players theese days which comes with 3 pre outs..
ie.
Front, rear, and sub....

so.. from there it goes to the amps... then to speakers...

but how do i connect a Electronic Xover?

the E-x-over has Front and Rear Inputs...
there.. it breaks out into 3 : Front, Rear and Sub..

how do i set up this? just connect the front n rear inputs from the HU, and disable the Sub output on the HU is it?
coz.. the X-over already got sub output...

how eh?

since your xover only accepts two RCA inputs, just hook up the Front & Rear to ur Xover.

but you may not be able to fade/booost your sub from ur HU since your HU sub-preout is not connected. If ur xover has sub control knob, use it to control ur sub.

Correct me if I'm wrong but frm my shallow non frequent browsing knowledge, new HU with these type of pre-outs already have Active XO. Why do you still need to sambung to Active XO?

Correct me yah...

If the HU has built in crossover, is better to remove the eletronic crossover. Is there any point to filter the sound 3 times(HU, e-XO, amp)? Or your ears can hear difference between 10hz and 12hz without using a machine? Built in crossover might be have less control compare to an e-crossover, unless you are going for competition, futhermore the e-crossover you mentioned has only 2 input, so your sub has no control at all(follow rear channel only). If you have 4 speakers(2 front and 2 rear) and a sub, better you remove the e-crossover.

In my noob opinion, if your HU only dish out around 2.2V on the RCA output, and you plan to put the amp on the boot, some noise might interfere. So, an EQ might be needed to increase this signal to say 8V and send it to the amp.

This is based on my very limited knowledge and experiece only.....

That is not EQ, it is called line driver.

true also :X-: .
But EQ nowadays also has gain right?
Example: The Lanzar Vibe X8.

some ppl prefer Hu inbuilt crossover for convenience can tune easily, change setting very fast. some ppl feel HU crossover not precise enough, they cant fine tune, so they add electronic crossover. frequencies can fine tune as well as can adjust signal gain level to the amps.

Bro cacin, that eq comes with built in line driver.

most eq n xover comes with gain too. My 2cts nia.

Lanzar Vibe X8 aaa.. If I not mistaken it is Electronic Crossover not EQ...

As I know HU built in crossover is selectable not variable like e/cross but sometime we can see e/cross also c/w selectable (not recomended) in our market... I'm prefer variable rather than selectable... Using Line Driver to increased Signal it depend on other stuff also... sometime can make more worst to your sound system...

bro..
now u use electronic cross x or not????
how the result??

that's why the choosing of HU is critical.

that's why I don't have/need external active XO... he he he...
