hello guys,
i've a vr4 on a satria..currently using 3 inch piping..bout the injector is yellow color..izzit 450 or higher?bout the turbo is AR50..problem is now my turbo kick in around 4000++ rpm..izzit something 2 do with my piping or the turbo kicking in at the RPM?

check you q trim? what manifold you're running? Before this what rpm? did you buy a new kit?

wat do u mean by q trim?which manifold u talking?intake or exhaust manifold?i jus bought the car recently..

when forced induction takes place basically means how much of air(exhaust) your engine can push to spool the turbine. There are a couple of factors that play somewhat importance in determining when boost kicks in. The size of the turbine (if its too big then your engine has to produce more exhaust to spool- in many cases ppl call it lag), manifold (are they equal length? divided?) these manifolds determine the dissipation of spent gases into exhaust, is your exhaust restrictive? Tuning (what management?)

Without becoming to technical, a 2.4kcc car will spool the same turbo 20% faster than a 2.0kcc car (all being equal) how 2.0kcc people match this is by porting perhaps to increase the amount of exhaust which in turn spools the turbine.
 
Isn't 4000rpm about right? My SR20DET's turbo kicks in at about that speed.. and the reading is only 0.75bar..
 
My turbine spool at 3.5K and boost is 0.8 bar..Is it ok for Daihatsu Charade GTti?
 
3.5krpm? quite laggey bro. my previous ct9a turbine was kicking at about 2000rpm, currently moded turbine starts kicking at 2800rpm + an extra pull starting about 5500rpm~all the way to readline. the bov just leaks above dat revv, have to do sumthin about it. max boost is 0.82bar
 
it's Garrett AR50..i think tat's the spec i knew...can help?thanks

if ur turbine is bigger, then its abvious it'll be laggy. if u really want ur ride to be more responsive, try resizing ur exhaust pipe dia. maybe.. to 2.5 inch? i know dat sumbody will say dat's too small for a vr4, but if u r using a straight trough pipe, wit dat dia, den no wonder ur turbine only kicks at about 4000rpm. backpressure preserves max torque output in the low region of ur engine operation bro, bigger zorst dia will shift it further up the revv line

now currently using straight flow after turbine till the end with an exhaust only..samore injectors bigger not mistake its 510cc and garrett AR50 turbine...wat else need to rebuilt?
 
iam not suggesting anythin bro since i havent seen ur ride, and i dont know how she behaves but as a reference, search around and check the original piping for evo, skyline, etc made by blitz, trust, hks, etc. u'll see dat they come equipped wit middle bullets and a muffler, with bigger piping dia sizing. even these monsters in the aftermarket industry take backpressure into account. y do u think they do dat? sum of the dragsters from japan dat run in sic also use the same idea, cant remember all their names but take a look in xtremekars few issues back, and take a look at the skyline's twin piping. what r those cats doing in the middle of the zorst piping? this is a car dat's doing 10sec constant
 
ive just encountered dis, actuator failure. my actuator is.. lunyai edi. so, it lets the wastegate leak out boost even while in lower revv. shite! dats y with the late turbine response, iam gonna mod it wit a lil springer help and will, god willing, post the result. hope its gonna be superb :)
