UPDATE: although this has continued into something unrelated to the topic but i think should share the latest news when i visited the workshop just now - as shown in the pictures, the head was removed and one of the valve springs has broken into 2 :afraid: also found is one of the lifters (is this the correct term or tappet?) is broken too. my car is in the workshop until tmr for further updates.Piston should not reach the plugs. If piston hit your valves and still can drive then you timing belt jump a few notches already....
really mixed feelings now, glad to find out what went wrong but uncertain bout what's to come if more of those things are broken, should i replace them by set or separately? stress sialll
