To begin with, F1 Bridgestone tires and regular road tires are totally different tires altoogether. They are heaven and earth in diffence therefore your judgement on Bridgestone tires are not accurate. They might have a recent slump in F1 but look at their domination for the past few years.
Anyway, to answer your question, i do think that Bridgestone actually makes pretty decent tires. For a more spirited drive, u should check out the GIII's. Also, for a slightly cheaper alternative, you can go for the MY-01(did i get it wrong?) or even the Turanza, being the cheapest. They're at least better than Sime HR7 or Silverstone.
As for me, i'm using Yokohama and i absolutely love the ES100 tires i'm using. Very grippy and i'm not so much of a speed freak and therefore the wear rate is quite good IMO. However, i must say the road noise can be quite loud if you're not used to it.
If grip is not what you're after, i guess the common Goodyear Ducaro GA, Falken Ziex, Turanza or even Continental are pretty ok tires u can consider.
