which tire brand is good? I just got a flat tire yesterday.. im on bridgestones and its new!! no wonder ferrari says bridgestones no good... still dare to sell so expensive

To begin with, F1 Bridgestone tires and regular road tires are totally different tires altoogether. They are heaven and earth in diffence therefore your judgement on Bridgestone tires are not accurate. They might have a recent slump in F1 but look at their domination for the past few years.

Anyway, to answer your question, i do think that Bridgestone actually makes pretty decent tires. For a more spirited drive, u should check out the GIII's. Also, for a slightly cheaper alternative, you can go for the MY-01(did i get it wrong?) or even the Turanza, being the cheapest. They're at least better than Sime HR7 or Silverstone.

As for me, i'm using Yokohama and i absolutely love the ES100 tires i'm using. Very grippy and i'm not so much of a speed freak and therefore the wear rate is quite good IMO. However, i must say the road noise can be quite loud if you're not used to it.

If grip is not what you're after, i guess the common Goodyear Ducaro GA, Falken Ziex, Turanza or even Continental are pretty ok tires u can consider.

im a frequent user of Azenis (Falken)

good in performance and noise rate

try hankook. heard tat is had well grip as well.

zixuan,
i suggest you try BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tyres, they're blardy cheap ultra-high peformance tyres. 195/50 R15 cost RM160 per piece in SS3. so go get them. that are u waiting for!

try falken azenis st115 good tire
The handling is superb and road noise is very minimal.

bridgestones is good. but on race track, cuz its tyre can perform very well n last longer..

after all the comments.. i found tht only silverstone n sime arent good is it?? haha.. it depends on ur need la... every tire/brand has diff characteristic, u cant say which is bad.. for me i will definitely choose AD07.. a very good street tire with its performance.. keke..
my 2 cents only la..

bridgestone My-01, cheap but very good at rain... tried 140km/h at highway + heavy rain

now front tyres changed to Falken Ziex, haven't test so extreme yet...

Arent Hancook the OEM tyres that come with Hyundai or Kia? I thought they suck until most owners change them not long after getting their new Korean cars.

I'm using G'Year GT3, good enuf for normal usage

Currently on GT Radial Champiro.

Cheap, Grippy/Sticky.
Very minimal aquaplanning (so far) - as compared to my previous crappy Monza HR7 and Certis.

Aiming for Champiro HPZ or Bridgy G3 in the next tyre change.

Well, i guessed maybe you share with others on how you get your tire punctured? If you hit a huge nail that rip of the side wall or your tire or etc etc, i guessed whichever brand also will not make any differences. Maybe flinstones tyre will help? hehehe...just kidding...anyway, i'm a happy BS tyre user as so far i have not experience any problem on BS. Currently using MY-01 and previously techno 50 too.... BS FAN?hehehehe....

ventus. cheap n relaible. i suggest my friend to use it. he no commnet until now
half year use grip in dry n wet..

I'm using hankook, got for rm100/piece (175/60/r14). it's pretty good compare to the previous sime tyre.

how about continental? I'm thinking to replace the stock 175 goodyear of myvi with continental. but i heard sime tyre make them here.
