M'sian crooks were cops

KUALA LUMPUR - A NEWS report says Malaysian police rushed to a robbery scene only to find the suspects were fellow officers.

The New Straits Times reports three men of a special elite police unit - one of them armed with a pistol - were allegedly caught robbing five men at a house in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

The report on Tuesday says a neighbour heard the noise inside the house and called the police, who came and arrested the policemen.

It says they will remain in police custody until Thursday. The report did not specify what crime they are being investigated for and what penalty they might face.
