sentra or vios

I have 2 choice for my new car. 2nd hand Sentra(1.6/1.8) model 2001/ 2002 or Vios, which one is better? I mean the FC, spacious, value for money, pickup(performance)?

my budget is around 50k - 60k.

VIOS is kinda small.. more like a compact car.. but no doubt the engine is good.. VVT- i.. sentra is much more spacious.. but the FC is not that good.. hear from my uncle.. he owns a 1.5 XE version.. town FC 0.30 cents / km..

The Vios definitely has a better FC and in terms of space, the Vios is a goner. I believe the Vios would fetch a better price since the Vios is quite popular in the market. I see more Vios that Sentras on the road. Then again I might be wrong as a genuine buyer would buy the Sentra for a higher price. Correct me if I am wrong here. Performance is very subjective here. Lookup the factory specs unless you can get someone to compare the two.

It all depends on your priority. If space and comfort is on the top, by all means, go for the Sentra as the Vios is just small, no kidding. It's only good for 4, not 5.

true la....if one person can afford to drive a 3.0liter car....why wanna ask is the car fuel economy...or yam sui more....u pay for what you get la....car manufacturer do r&d to develop fuel economy engine...yes...but surely somehow somewhere in the engine is lack....well....

My brother driving year 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.6A. Fuel consumtion? not Bad.. Why compare so much of FC when u wanna go for power rite?


i hv relatives driving Vios.. so far the FC of Sentra Vs Vios not really a big big diff..


If u were to compare within a 1.5 and a 1.6 car, of coz the diff is not so huge, but yet depending on the driving stlye ( JGN Pecut) hehe


i have frd driving Jaguar.....surprisingly the FC for jaguar in highway was good....at a constant speed....but not in jam la...

so, regarding ur question Vios or Sentra,

looks is always Vios.......Sentra so far the body is quite strong, good handling, spacious, n of coz more luxury if were to compare with vios...

Just a very simple thing. Sentra was assembled together like a Jap vehicle. Vios is somewhere between Jap and M'sia.

But which Sentra you're getting? The first gen looked DAMN UGLY compared to the latest face lift we had. If you are getting the 1st.... i had some reserves, but if its with the latest facelift, then its a good bet.

P.S - My younger bro just get himself a pair of angel eyes, TRD grills, skirtings, spoilers and 17" for his Vios..... damn it looked real cool !

erm... im not too sure about this both cars...
but i saw some sentra modded kau kau, custom bodykit... really nice!!!
vios... also damn nice...
performance... not sure la... but heard ppl say nissan 1 pick up... kinda slow if compare to toyota n honda...
fc... i would say about d same 1 la... cuz 1.5 n 1.8 nothing much different...
if u say 2.0 engine then might be higher abit la...
comfort... er... also heard ppl say nissan car more comfort... ermmm
so how... if i were u... i will go for vios... cuz sentra might be abit older style if compare with vios look

i'd recommend sentra.... power is quite good and spacious
while vios is quite crampy (maybe because i'm too tall) ... power is OK
