i think maybe you can consider the brake lock(pro lock) really difficult to open lar since it is situated below the sit leaving very little space for the thief to work. This is the kind that is lock permanently to your car not those removables.
anyway who wants to steal car with their back facing you?most of the time if they see such lock they will prefer for those steering lock to work with.
then you can add a switch whereby in order to start you car you need to step on the brake. so basically the lock stops you from stepping on the brake which does not allow the thief to start your car.
happened to my friend, car broke in GTi, but car not stolen found saw mark on the brake lock. of course this is not perfect but it will take hours before they can saw it away!!
then if you still scared add motion sensor and if got xtra money go for GSM, but not really necessary lar GSM...no perfect alarm. If you are far away, they can still disable your GSM and then tow your car??
