can ae111 convert engine to 2ZZ-GE? i mean just pnp, no need modify engine mounting.
 
And the most important is, getting it legalized with JPJ and also the cost of transplant would be stratopheric. Not worth. Would rather turbo the 20V.

You mean in finding spare part or the part pricing? Engine part majority thing may interchange with Toyota Camry or Corona ma.
 
He means the engine bay will have no space at all. All parts near to each other, if want to change 1 need to dismantle many things

saw a Vitz transplanted 4E-FTE, i think it's possible to do
ae111 with 1zz-fe. but How/Possible to make it legal?
 
Those who did that kind fo conversion is deffinitely illegal. Its either the owner ignore the rules, or they pay a lot for the runner to fake the documents without going to JPJ for checks.

1600cc to 1800cc approve by JPJ
as its in 25% upgrade capacity law

as for the mounting, tricky parts it that both engine have diff cross flow system
for the 4age - the intake is at the firewall and exhaust at the front panel
as
for the 1zzfe - the intake is at the front panel and the exhaust is at the back next to firewall
thus you bear in mind how will the engine be? i think the engine will seat more towards to front to escape from heat transfer from exhaust manifold to firewall

as for the gearbox - another tricky part, how will the drive shaft position be? slanting down or up, backwards or front?
shorter or longer each side?

will the drive shaft head fit the existing ae111 knuckle?

but basic things that Puspakom will look at are those mounting
