That's what I read only bro, havent done before so I can't really say which is as good. Unless you can do like some, they write in to Hypertune Magazine the Q&A page. Then they answer your question.
What model can he use to mod the hub? PUG mostly 108 PCD to change to 100 or 114.3 use JDM?:hmmmm:

Like Izso said, too much work for rims.....:biggrin:

Well, will keep searching. Worst case, use adaptor lor
I ask one tyre shop for the rims you looking for, still no results means difficult to find?:hmmmm:

I just did some research and what I found (or didn't find) is worrying. Konig doesn't seem to make the RRF rims I'm using in 17". The "Dial-in" model only seems to have 15" and not 17" which is what I'm using.

So if I'm using ori Konig Dial-in RRF 17", it's supposed to be pretty strong because of the RRF forming of the rims. But I've recently seen that it's not all that strong so I'm beginning to worry my rims are fakes. Gonna email Konig and see.

As for width, I have no idea! Even the website doesn't say much. Sigh. My precious rims. *Sobsob*
Hmm if not in the official catalogue then might be copy one but who the hell wants to copy Konig which is already quite cheap in the first place? Usually they copy mid-high end rims so I doubt that yours is a copy one. Maybe yours is a discontinued model which happens very often with many rims anyway (like mine is already old model also, hence not in the Bridgestone Prodrive catalogue anymore). How do you see that it's not as strong btw?

Izso....Any updates on the Konig wheels or yours???
I've confirmed my rims are original and Konig's are confirm not made in USA, but in Taiwan. Which is fine with me.

6UEST : how do I know they aren't as strong as I expected them to be? I've dented them already. But it's just the lip that's dented (it's very apparent in an off-wheel balancer) and the actual rim itself isn't affected. My old Advanti's weren't this 'fragile'.

Oh, dented already?? So their strength is apparently compensated to save the weight. Ok good info for reference. Next time want cheap but good value rims should just get Advanti or Enkei Tuning or Lenso then.

6UEST....Is Advanti and Lenso that you mentioned light weight? Coz i saw my friend's advanti before, but is heavy. I guess its a replica thats why....

One more thing.....does lighter rims equals weaker rims?

Depends on the type. Those Advanti made using the MAT technology is basically the same like Enkei Tuning already, so they're pretty lightweight and strong enough. Lenso is made in Thailand, some decent weight, some still rather heavy, again depends on the type.

Nope, properly made rims can be both light and strong. Rays forged rims are very light and yet as strong if not stronger.

Marv3, is the model not the brand. Every brand have normal weight and light weight rims. Izso previous rims were the Advanti Storm model...:driver:

I see....But replicas is always heavier right???? I mean there is no such thing as replica being the same weight as the originals right???

Depends on what rims which are replicated.
If the original rims copied are also heavy, then the replica also not difficult to do and just be as heavy.
If try to replica Rays TE37 or CE28N, then not easy to replicate the same weight. Might still be able to but would not have the same strength.

That is the most frightening part. Certain parts and places are drilled out to lighten the rims, therefore if the material not strong sure not same strength....:banghead:

can use replica, but dont hantam-hantam the rims like forged rims....
Not all ppl use forged ori rim for performance, some go for looks....I see such cases on the road in Malaysia.

Just like cars with trd, nismo, HKS, R3, etc stickers. Mostly done-up to create the +100hp "looks" of the car, but in actual fact, the car is a standard ride.

Dude... wanna stab you with a spoon already.

What are "replica" rims? Imitation copies of the originals. Copies. Meaning they are cheapass copies made with zero QC and use the same branding as the original. A "replica" will have the same looks, logo, printing, etc but is probably made in Gombak instead of Japan/USA. What do you think the weight will be like for fake imitations/replicas?

If you google rim technology, you'll find single cast, multi-piece, flow form forged, etc. Each style have their own strengths and weaknesses. Read about it here : http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=90

You want to see how good an ori rim is compare the Enkei RPF01 with any of its replicas or copies or similarly designed rims from any company. Nothing is lighter than the original. Probably nothing is as strong too but if compared to my previous Advanti Storm series rim, Advanti is heavier but it was one helluva tough rim. Took all the accidental pot hole beatings without breaking a sweat.
