Lap Times

Kikaider's car is a street car, the only thing he strips is his toolbox and spare tyre before going on the track. He he. It's funny you guys automatically assume that such a good time is "only possible" for a track car. I've seen quite a few daily drivers on the track pulling around the same time. Perhaps driver skill should also be taken into consideration?

And not all track cars are fast either, some are just used to drive on the track literally... Anyway, what would i know - i'm just the cameraman :P

2.40's on street EK with street radial, on a track day!! is damn fast... just imagine ur time in a fully prepped track car, with no traffic doing time attacks??
The time u got, is that transponder time of stopwatch time??

I've never had an official time taken as i enter for fun... i have digicam time... 2.52 at last corner missed braking point and spin... :D so my time would be around 3mins++ .... btw my car is an all street old skool EF... :D

Just a normal stopwatch time. Well its not 100% accurate. Give or take a second i guess. Dont get confused, i have not achieved 2min40secs. My fastest time so far is 2min45secs. Yes there is alot of traffic, so i went round after round until i got lucky.

For comparison purposes, you can go to Mylaps.com also to check the times done from any of the race held there. Just search for Sepang or SIC in the search box.

check out http://sepangcircuit.mylaps.com

All results of races at the track (excluding F1/MotoGP). GT Results are also there... you can see all!

Enjoy! :)

Those who are avid track day fellas can actually purchase their own transponder and always monitor their time... but pity la... a little ex... 300 Euros!!!

standard car non turbo usualy around 2m50++ turbo car will do about 2m40++ so if u drive standard car.. below 2m40.. heheheh u must be really joking...

You must be joking. Can u read right?? Did i say i ran below 2m40s? And btw, may i know what is your track experience in Sepang?

my fastest time in sepand was 2 min 45 secs... on a standard WRX with road tires....with the help of some clear roads a head..

Yesterday I tried did just only 2min 48secs on a Honda 1.8 vtec track car all strip out with Silverstone FTZ tyres.

2min 45secs on street NA cars is already damn fast.

Chris

this is not fast enough... could be faster... at least 2.41min

You may think low of Fiki coz you do not know him. He's and experience kart racer and has many laps around Sepang. In both high powered 4wd cars and superb handling FF cars.
