Nope....it didn't go down.Just stuck there....when idling....the engine will be very noisy.Even when i drive the revs will be higher than normal. :frown:

Maybe its caused by the throttle cable getting stuck. How old is your car already ?

i think the auto choke rosak already.

normally, when engine is start cold, auto choke will increase idle speed otherwise engine will vibrate becoz idle speed very low.

what happened was the idle speed was set high during cold, so after it had warmed up the idle also increase higher than normal.

to test this, set ur idle speed to about 700rpm during hot and about 950rpm with aircond ON.

2moro morning when start see whether engine shaky or not? if correct, then need to change carburettor. otherwise, convert to 4G61T or 4G91 DOHC..

Titan,
My car goin to be 6.....

Zan,
If autochoke spoilt, must change the whole carb ah???

autochoke is built-in the carburettor for iswara and wira. for old saga they're operated by cable. note choke knob at saga's dashboard.

autochoke is vacuum activated by sensing cooling system temperature. during cold start, autochoke is activated. when warm, it will slowly closed bit by bit.

the problem is many of iswara/wira owners do not maintain their cooling system. the result is it gets rusty. rust will go into the water line inside the carburettor and clogged it.

even cleaning/flushing the radiator wont solve problem. becoz rust at water line still there. i do not know if anybody knows how to dismantle and clean it. if u do, give it a try.

this is my solution - temperary only.

when the idle gets high, reduce to about 1,000rpm. this is quite reasonable. 2moro morning start engine and hold acccelerator with ur feet. either that

OR

change carburettor. either that

OR

change to EFI engine (make sure throttle body and ISC ok). either that

OR

change to new carrr....this wud be my best suggestion (but some amount of money is involved laa..)

There is no problem wz ur car.Just take it for tuning and it will be ok.If u want i can do it for u.Call me 0173910405 and when free u come to my place and i will do it for u.I drive an iswara to.This are just simple things only.If autochoke spoil ur car will overheat but wont effect ur idling if its still install
