I would KILL to get this Car

Like any other young boy in my time, I lusted after the Countach as a kid. That was, as far as cars go, the coolest, the best, the greatest. Then I grew up. Sure, it looked brilliant and outrageous enough to stop birds in midflight, its got all the power and noise and speed in the world, but as far a living with such a thing is concerned, I realised it would be an absolute nightmare. And I'd look like a twat getting out of one.

Same story with the Diablo. The Audi generation Lambos are much, much more civilised but they are still far, far, far too crazy for my liking. Lambos have always been ridiculous, because they needed to be ridiculous. They needed to snatch the spotlight from Ferrari.

I'm still very much a sucker for subtlety and class. Which is why I much prefer Aston Martins and Jaguars. Ferraris, on the other hand are just plain special, the thick and rich racing history and heritage and pedigree and craftsmanship. If you could give a physical form to the joy of driving and the passion for cars, it would take the shape of a Ferrari.

no offence.. jus some personnal thought.. lambo (new generation) could be classy.. haha.. at least to me.. its crazy looking initially but after sometime.. u will probably sense the class in it.. no matter what kind of strange color isit in.. but i will agree with u its not subtle.. haha.. to me supercars shud nvr be subtle...

another personnal thought, i dislike jaguars.. to me their design is kinda boring.. but thats me.. however astons are not bad.. db9 being the nicest among the 3 newer type available.. n best looking.. but ermmmmm mayb jus mayb its not as special.. as far as im concern.. the only selling point its an aston (and in the case of db9 probably an interior that frankly better than almost any supercars maker.. aside from zondas of coz).. others like power design or handling are still not exactly a match to italian supercars.. it doesnt give me the wow factors like other supercars do.. but then again im probably not old enuff to appreciate the aston brand becoz i think the only reason so many ppl know abt it nowadays (bar british) is becoz of the james bond movie.. haha

i would say it is more towards everyone's personal taste. people come and tell me how lambos are a pretty car and stuff, but to me, the design can't be class as a pretty or gorgeous car, but a lambo design. its like a trademark design that can't be associated with any other car, and if you don't like it, then you won't like any of them. obviously i don't like it.

I've read that some of you would get a lambo over a ferarri, for me, it will be the other way around. I kind of like the F430, especially at the back. Its nicely refined, and overall not too extravaganze. speaking of this, i do love the aston martins.

but seriously, if i'm given the money, i would probably go and find myself a marcos gt2, not a supercar, but a sport car. american muscle, british engineering, and with old school looks, just what i like.

Oh man, you are just my kind of guy. I absolutely love the Marcos TSO GT2. I think its a brilliant idea, an idea that harks back to the time when Carroll Shelby first stuck a big Ford V8 into a small British sportscar, to create the legendary Cobra.

Looms abit like an overdesign Waja.. but still very cun.. i'd say has beter looking design then ferrari.. its not that flashy simple yet elegent :D

Too bad they don't sell the F1 anymore, ei?

And for mere mortal drivers like us, the Mclaren F1 is an absolute pig to drive. No driver aids whatsoever, not ever power assisted steering or brakes, and you've got 627 bhp under your right foot. Think about that when you dream.

maybe is you who do dont want a car with non power steering dude...

Mclaren F1 will go down as probably one of the best cars ever built. It was built with one aim in mind, to shatter the fastest supercar record. Derived very much from F1, its driving position is at the centre, just like F1 cars. And yeah, it was never really an easy car to drive, you never hear car reviewers mention that its great handling car but it was famous more for its top speed.

Apparently there's only like 300+ cars around. They never really mass produced it probably because it was too expensive at that time. The F50 and Enzo were different as they very much knew how many they wanted to sell therefore only making like 399 of such cars. I might be wrong on the exact figure but all the Ferrari anniversary edition were sold out before hand and you find that only invited people are allowed to buy those limited edition ones.

im not so sure abt the aim of mclaren f1.. according to its designer (Gordon Murray) they jus wanna build a fast sports car.. fact that it was the fastest car on earth that time was a bonus to them.. another thing there is only 100 mclaren build n if im not mistaken they couldnt build more becoz they have problem selling.. in fact out of the 100 there are 25 are build for racing purpose

I bet there's plenty Murcielago's around town. If not mistaken, NAZA was selling the car for like 850K. I think should be no big deal for those tycoon in Malaysia. Only thing is they should drive it out more often.

850k? Are you sure? I'm sure they are sold for north of 3 mil. Maybe that's the price before 300% tax. Even in the UK, they are about 300k sterling.

Gallardos are cheaper, around 100+k sterling over here.

I wonder whether Msia will see any Veyrons? Someone will have to fork out >RM 10 million. Same with McLaren F1s.

p/s I've visited a friend whose dad has a Murcie. Did you know that the car cover that Lamborghini provides has 2 layers. Even the car cover fabric feels and looks so expensive. The underlayer has a huge Raging Bull symbol at the front. :secret:

shoo shooo.. me not gay.. lol jk jk..

anyway.. the tso gt2, 5.7liter small block, outperform the srt10 viper at topgear's powerlap board. another clear reason that shows power isn't everything, or was it just the gt2 only weights like a tea bag?

Gobiz, i might be wrong. I saw it about 6 or 7 months back in NAZA PJ. But its not RM3 million i'm sure. Besides, it was a second hand car.

a brand new murcielargo (basic spec) shud be around 1.8 to 1.9m.. that was a while ago.. but don expect the car to topple the 2.5 million tag..

Really? I must be thinking of the Murcie LP640.
Definitely two-layered. Top one is water-resistant I think. The bottom one is a much softer material. And with the huge decal.

I really should've asked to sit inside. Unfortunately, her father wasn't home so she could only show me the car (underneath the covers).

Over here in Glasgow I haven't seen a Murcie yet but there's a black Gallardo that lives in my neighbourhood. Daily-driven and muddy! And just parked on the roadside overnight.

is she still single ?

The LP640 is estimated to cost around 200k British Pounds. Won't be anywhere near 300, unless they start using carbon fibre body panels.
