Hydrolocked Neo CPS now under going some internal mods

Imagine a mushroom under an umbrella, but the umbrella has a holes.

If your umbrella doesn't has holes, it's just fine.

Crankshaft, conrods and pistons are installed back into the block. Notice the shiny area on the conrods (1, 3 & 4), due to lightening and balancing process

Dyno result will only be available after 1000km run-in period.

Anyway, very impressive response in the first 10km test run.

Stable vacuum level is a good sign for good compression and no abnormal leak over the piston rings.

the `umbrella with hole` is mean vented bonnet? how much for the total repairing cost? need rm 5000++?

Exactly. Close to RM3k, excluding the new crankshaft. We didn't use back the old crankshaft because it was slightly bent (by ~0.1mm). It's still useful, but we just don't like the idea of having defect in a newly rebuilt engine. Long term reliability is always in our philosophy.
 
u mean to say the fiber hood the owner using is not good enough the water flow below that's why water come in?wah like this must be careful when buying vented hood,later air masuk,anyway,is a very good project that everyone can share and know.

rm3000 oni. consider cheap. how about labour charge? 0.1mm, how to measure? now is rainning season, for who have CAI, pls be careful
 
nice thread..but it gives me some creeps watching the hole and snapped rod. might consider to re-route my CAI
