1st of all the impression of me 2wards MLOC !! I can feel member in this club is quite good guy ....haha !! Why....?? coz u guy reli helpful ....every time as i ask bout question relate 2 evo u guy always satisfy my curiousity bout evo ...summore i feel that MLOC member are quite friendly !! Wish can get a healthy evo to join the convoy wit u guy !! Summore do u MLOCians think that izzit a boy age 17 should get an evo n will he able 2 drive the monster?

Here some of my commend 2 MLOC anybody like me who hv good impression 2ward MLOC pls share ur guy experience here let all ppl in ZTH know how nice MLOC are....haha

Acc i m 17 now but still no get my license yet due 2 so personal prob but goin to get it soon mayb in this 1 or 2 more month....but surely in this year..hope can find an nice e7 after get my license..

Yeah, our record previously was 18 yr + member!!! Haha... He drove a monster E8 with lotsa modd... Dyno ard 400hp+ with full Varis kit!!! :_:

Thanks for the compliment. Yes! All MLOCian are very friendly. For me , when i was just joined the club , it come into surprise that all the member are very helpful , friendly and care about member. I'm really appreciate and respect them.

Yeah , I think so , u r the youngest and very lucky to have an evo at the age of 17. Myself after graduated at the age 23 just able to have Proton Putra . Congrats!

Wanna ask that will e7GTA hv blowoff sound like sieww..sieww.. after change 2 aftermarket blowoff n wastegate??

zen, of course (for e7GTA) as long as you change to blow-off. The originals is always blow in hence you hardly hear any sieww..sieww sound. lol

Wastagate is a bit extreme la..not so much of sieww..sieww..but it would be more like seeeeeeeeeeeet. ; P

Oh ya, btw..u're real lucky to be thinking and planning of owning an evo at 17. I can't even afford to take more than 2 trips of minibus a day when I was 17 ! ZZzzz..

hi dudes, im planning to buy a evo7 year 2001. but i dont know anything about this car. can anyone tell me how to check the car condition, and how about the monthly maintenance spending and so on. anything that i should keep in mind or understand about this car. thank you dudes

Welcome u to our MLOC forum too!!! :_: Actually what u asked here oredi been asked many times n our members been replying it countless time too... So if u can spend some time to do a search back in our forum, u wil kinda get lotsa info tht u r actually looking for...

Ok, lets do it a simple 1 here again... Make sure de car got no accident b4, engine no strange sound, make sure de ACD light is on n in working condition( 1 light on at a time only), hv a test drive to make sure de car chasis n engine all running smooth without any funny sound n behaviour too...

As for maintainance, roughly abt rm500 everytime u do oil change, checking n upkeeping...

Oil Change Duration
Gear Box oil change duration
Brake pad / suspension Check
Coolent check
AYC Check
Brake Fluid Check
Oil Filter change
Spark plug change to what type / duration of change
Air Filter Cleaning / change ...and etc.......

Service Guidelines [Evolution IV – IX] from Ralliart UK

EVERY 4,500 MILES OR 6 MONTHS
1. Check operation of all exterior lights
2. Check condition of wiper blades
3. Check auxiliary drive belts for damage/tension
4. Replenish washer fluid level
5. Replenish inter-cooler spray system
6. Check break line for leaks
7. Check rear differential oil level
8. Replace AYC fluids [diffs + reservoir]
9. Replace engine oil [fully synthetic oil only]
10. Replace engine oil filter
11. Check brake pads/discs for wear
12. Check tyres for damage/wear
13. Check/reset engine idle speed

EVERY 9,000 MILES OR 12 MONTHS
1. Check all turbo hoses for damage and security
2. Check condition of the air filter
3. Check cooling system for leaks
4. Check brake/clutch fluid levels
5. Check battery levels. Replenish were necessary
6. Check f/r suspension for damage and security
7. Check steering system for damage and security
8. Check gearbox oil level
9. Check transfer box oil level
10. Check brake/clutch pedals for travel/adjustment
11. Check/adjust hand brake travel
12. Swap tyres front to rear [if required]
13. Check condition of body


EVERY 18,000 MILES OR 24 MONTHS
1. Replace brake fluid
2. Replace air filter
3. Replace coolant. Check system for leaks
4. Check HT leads
5. Check drive shafts and gaiters
6. Check fuel pipes for damage and security

EVERY 45,000 MILES OR 60 MONTHS
1. Replace timing belts A and B
2. Replace spark plugs
3. Replace fuel filter
4. Check secondary air system hoses for leaks
5. Check crankcase control system/pipes

EVERY SERVICE
Carry out a full road test to check correct operation of all systems
