good day anyone. HISTORY - I've transplant u12 sss ca18de year 1998 model in my sentra n13 nearly a year ago.it using analog ecu.when i bought the half cut, there's no sign of engine oil leak,no sign of...in short she's a virgin, i guess.. mileage ++136K. i've yet done ZERO modification/upgrade to the engine.
THINGS TO HIGHLIGHT.
1. i've wrongly choose a mechanic to do the transplant, he's not fit to do the job and lacks of equipment so i burn few K's for nothing.SAD..
2. timing belt,clutch and water pump is not change bcoz it still brand new and works well. I'm using external BOSCH mercedes fuel pump which placed higher than the tank,so..lots of pumping noise (i'm using old carburated fuel tank). fuel pipe from pump to fuel filter is 4mm dia. NO fuel calibrating has been done.i'm in process of re-placing the pump lower than bottom fuel tank level.
3. the car is back on da road in early april (after in workshop from sept04-mac05) both driveshaft rubber seal connecting to gearbox had burst last week,i've service it.
4. lots of weird sound from the engine bay. i think it from the steering & driveshaft parts. engine running smooth and lean in idle - no loose valve or mechanical sound.
5. idle 1000-1200rpm,when engine is hot enough still the rpm not go down abit..had done ecu tuning,idle 800rpm but when i get to 7000rpm once late last month, the idle return to 1000-1200 again.
PROBLEMS.
1. i think this engine got enough 00kmh for me but drivetrain system is not quite right bcoz my chasis is N13 vs U12 engine.
2. did anyone had done this type of engine transplant to N13 chasis and can say something to me about anythings?
3. i'm thinkin of plug in new EMS/ECU,but not sure the most suitable one.i think the idle problem related to EMS/ECU.
4. can anyone give me suggestion of any workshop in kelantan or kl that can lead my car to better life?
5. ANYONE plz comment/advise me after reading/understanding above info.
