H22A engine smoking when use vtec...anyone?

at nite..i tried to rev dat honda H22A 1st gear till 3rd gear till vtec open..then i stop and try to look at the engine..i jz rev once only..

then i can white smoke coming out from the engine block,no so much but got smoke like cigi smoke..so smelly ler the smoke..like burning rubber or dunno lar..

what is the problem

radiator no overheat also...

Just my guess.

VTEC solenoid opens, gasket leaks, oil gets onto heat sheilding wrapper on the exhaust header.. poof smoke!

could be other thing.. I'm just guessing.. (O_o)

burn gasket? the head cover is not tighten up properly? might be the oil is burning? might be some other reason. is the temp shoot high?

err.. many2 reason. might be other H22A expert can explain.

coz i know white smoke will only come out only early in the morning. hehe
or white smoke if the piston/valve/seals/piston ring is worn out.

nyway can trace any leakage found on the engine......

white smoke = engine oil is burning

black smoke = fuel too much ..not finish burn

1st just check for anything is leaking from engine gasket from any part even water or oil, if yes, then need change the gasket. almost its bcoz of leaking. if gasket burn also there will be leaking.

the car so old d...sure got little oil leaking...

when drive the car like normal ..nothing happen

it only happenned when i rev till it open vtec then check the engine..it's very very hot and white smoke come out from the engine block....even the word dohc VTEC also can see smoke come out..

the block very hot...

exhaust no smoke come out ler....

water temp also normal..

so what is the problem?

if engine overheat..the engine oil much be thick or dark color..but the oil also like normal..

is it the engine got little engine oil leaking so..the leaking oil gets to hot..so it evaporate?

ha.. might be ur cover got small crack? that y got smoke.

as i know last 2 weeks went to my mech. he open my cover to change my vtec solenoid gasket. i see those white smoke coming out from the block. but that time my cover have been open n remove.

im really sure ur cover got cracked.
