need some advice.... roughly how much does a fresh graduate earn ?? need soem advice from u guys out there in workforce.. thx a lot

What do you have? diploma? degree? master? PhD?

This is roughly what fresh graduate get at my workplace

Diploma - position offered = Officer
- basic salary = 1400 - 1800

Degree - position offered = Exec
- basic salary = 1800 - 2100

more higher qualification i don't know

It also depends on what studies you grad from ... Would not hope for much if it's something like Arts, Graphics or some general degree ...

Whatever it is, let your first job be a stepping stone for basic experienvce. Just don't end up to be one of those "I expect everything, and anything from my employer ..." grads ...

My 2-cents ...

Besides depending on ur education background, it also depends how u convince the interviewer with your skills (since u cant convince them with ur working exp as u have none).

In FMCG industry - RM1.6K-RM2K
In Advertising line - RM1.5K-RM1.8K (but the salary increment will jump very fast)

depends on the job u apply... depends on your cert... depends on how u market yourself in the interview... depends on the company...

it all depends... no definite answer to that generic question

1000 fresh grad.. now after almost 1 yr workin its only 1200 :(

Lopot , ur company is in which sector ??

I got ACCA,my salary start at Rm2400 few years ago.But working time very damm long hours 9am to 9pm because loads of account have to audit

Information system i think can get Rm1.5k above

my first job pays RM1500 in banking line...
not sales or tele personals....

RM8k - pilot

RM8k - engineer in oil & gas field

hehe..:X-:

It shall be around 1.5k to 2.0k only .. everyone seeking experienced people to pay high. If fresh grads, some companies are seeking way to make profit fast..with fresh grads they cant be starting over and over waiting for training etc..

They hire 10 people 7 runaway already due to pressure, low salary, transportation problem and misc matters.

Dont seek high salary at start .. ure fresh, then get some knowledge and experience first, so u can demand more later ..

Cheers!

Fresh grad now not paid well. Unless you're in E&E engineering/IT consultant, the rest all gets between 1.5K to 2.5K.

Munky, pilots don't earn 8k when they start lar. Only after years of training with peanuts allowance, then they will start with maybe 4k as second officer for MAS, not very sure about the exact amount, But it's around there. 8k is a first officer's pay.

munky, you need to be first officer before you can be the official pilot if i'm not mistaken.

IT line - Your interest?

programming(software)?
network(infra/hardware)?
Server maintainance (Admin) ?
consultation?
management trainee?
support?

etc...

Basically, second officer (SO) only has one bar on their shoulders, they don't really fly. They do simulators and sit behind to observe on flights and maybe relieve the First Officer (FO) during cruise. A FO does fly, they take turns with the captain to do take-offs and landings, depending on who has the sector. they have 2 bars on their shoulder, and they are called the so-pilot. Senior First officer (SFO) does the same thing as FO but they have a certain years of experience. Three bar on their shoulders. Captains sit on the left hand seat, and have four bars on their shoulders. They make all the final decisions and take command of the flight.
