Dear bros...
Haha, funny, those people looking for the NA Blow Off valve, reminds me of my past when I wuz 17 back then.
Here is my story and experience.
Wut inspired me to get the turbo sound "PSSST"? Obviously, nothing more than my friend's Satria EVO 3 with a top speed of 260km/h, and mind you, your body is glued to the blardy seat, and I cant even access the porno VCD on the dashboard. And looking at the cars being zoom passed and when he wuz overtaking cars at that speed.....tears are falling off slowly.
Light body, plus tuned up EVO 3.....with a stupid suspension....feels floaty and dangerous........but, very FUN. Haha.........
Anyway, you can see him pissing on VTECs, and is damn lansi weh.....
So I wuz on my quest to get this fake turbo sound for the NA...just for show.
I have tried few methods during the holidays back then.
But only 1 seems to give the best effect.
Method 1: Get an instantaneous play mode MP3 player (means, the moment u press, u get the sound, no delay). Get some real turbo sound from the internet, video or anything. Load it into the player. DOne. Get those audio input connector which connects to some high power amplifier. Install as many speakers as you want inside the bonnet. Make sure you find a spot where there is no water marks. Imagine wut happens when a speaker contacts with water. Every car has a place under the bonnet without water or liquid stains. Look for that area, and wire up your speakers in place. Next, make sure that particular area is not excessively hot. You can add in tweeters if you want. DONE. Is working!
Problems: The higher you rev, the engine sound basically covers the sound of your fake turbo. On high way, you cant hear it. But at traffic lights, yeah. You might wanna spend more $$$ to get louder speakers. But, for me, no point wasting more moneys. The items I got are all cheap and just for testing to see if it is practical. End story is, it is NOT.
Best is still go for real tuning. Back then I was playing with Charade Espri. THen I converted to 1.6 Detomaso modified to turbo*. Sold it cuz, the engine cannot quench my thirst for power anymore.
