I recently bought a momo gotham at kakimotor...trusted them as they claimed that they are the sole distributor of Momo Italy. However upon installation I saw that the momo writing written on the bottom spoke was offset to the right and the laser engraving of the word momo behind the steering wheel was also offset till the marking was partially off the steering. Being a reputable brand such as momo I found it difficult that they would have such bad QC. I was wondering if this are the signs that this steering is a fake?

errr..same as mine..but i just buy at brothers....rm200 if i remember...

the only thing i found different from ori was the stiching quality of the read thread around...(mine la)

other than that not sure..

the thicknes of spoke...besi...ori 1 about 3mm...and cap ayam 1 I think less
quality of stiches...
prices...ori brand nu about rm500
and overall finishing...
senang cakap...once u compare this 2 type of steering side by side...u can instantly identified either ori or not:burnout:

other than the momo stamp behind and the offset momo print in the front...the build quality is really gorgeous. I guess it should be ori coming from them. Anyhow thanks for the input. We should start a thread on this. At least eveyone can refer when getting a new momo.

bro, have u try to visit momo official website. Maybe got a clue there..

ori momo the engraving very sharp and position nicely...quality build very the good...like mine hehehe...official distributor not kakimotor la..i think other company office near glenmarie there....

keep the receipt. anything wrong still got things to protect yr right ma

1.quality of the workmanship
2. MOMO engraving + made in italy
3. like mine im using evo2 steering, there is the year engraved also 90-93.

went to kakimotor midvalley, compared 2 momo race steerings, both has same serial numbers etc2... fake or what?

if kakimotor confirm ori...
but the outlet in MV closed down edi rite?

maybe the number u saw is not serial number, its model number...then its logic to be same...but serial number i not sure got or not...anyway authentic and fake/replica can see the quality and the material...quite obvious..especially funny funny font n engraving so on....

call MOMO la.. why so difficult.. or email them.
use maxis IDD 132 to call damn easy what, cheaper than local calls.

I just called Haltech yesterday.

lucky i'm buying my ori momo race 8 years ago..when not many replica items in our bolehland...buy from dealer near glenmarie..that time price around rm650...until today still looking good....

Saw a few at brothers also but then seems like some is ori and some not. Some cheap some real expensive up to RM800 - RM1000 also
got, not only MOMO, other brands as well.

So kinda hard to see which is ori also nowadays...since Brothers do sell local made headlamps as well. Not original from manufacturers

those at brothers confirmed all 100% immitation.

Imitations that can reach up to that price? damn!
But not all the stuffs there is imitations right bro?

Dunno man, most of the Lala and Ah Bengs stuff that we can see on the road seems brothers
are selling most of them.

Not much shops like this where we can shop for almost anything..only ENEOS and BROTHERS.
