yet again my engine has failed..have a 4g63 and when opened up the head found 2 pistons cracked and 1 fella rusted on top..on cylinder 3....
a nasty scratch was noted inside the blok...arrrrrr!!!

wat to do all sifu's...2nd time this is happening in 6 months...does metal gasket help.??

can anyone help...any precautions to be taken before i replace the engine kosong yet again....???
 
u wan block kosong? pm me.
btw, i think for sure u engine is starving of fuel, it might your fuel pump or overboosting.

2 piston cracked is caused by detonation , wht boost r u running , whts ur setup bro , if u r boosting above 1bar it is advised to use ARP head bolts to avoid head lifting up and bolt stretching , metal gasket does help , and ur mech must torque them according to specs if not its gonna sip water in again.

hmmmm ok...was previously boostin at 1.2bar...
arp head bolts..allright..must torque them according to specs...how do i explain tat to him...:]
or rather what can i ask him to make sure he is doin it correctly..??

ask him to use torque wrench.his a mech.i think he know this.
