I have wiper scratches all over my windshield.

Where can I find a kit like this in Malaysia?:

I don't mind spending more on professional tools...

Thank you.

I found out that cerium oxide is good for such repairs. But where can I get that magic powder around here? =(

Why not let those glass professional do it like Dr. Cermin, rather then spend more on the tools unless you need those tools.

try to look around in ACE hardware, ive seen the DIY windscreen repair kit before.

Ask the people in the Car Detailing section here. They have the tools and might just help you out. AFAIK, no shop (including Dr Cermin HQ) will polish your windscreen just to remove the scratches. It is too troublesome for them to polish and not as profitable as you changing to a new windshield. They will just ask you to change the screen.

But if you really don't want to change the windshield, you can contact the Autodetailer at Jaya One. The boss there will want to examine your windshield first to see if it is worth polishing the scratches out.

Yah, that's what some people do.

I asked Darren once, and he said to come in for him to check. But at the end I went to buy a new screen! Cannot tahan the scratches ...

So far I have never encountered scratch screen by the wipers. Probably because I clean and wipe the wipers every time I wash my car and change the wipers before they really break down....

It happened to me before with the useless duragloss or dura something silicon wipers. The wipers itself got so soft the metal casing/bracket was actually touching my screen. Turned it on during rain time and hey presto.. a nice long DEEP line in my screen.

Duragloss is detailing products like polishes and sealants.
Yours must be the Dura Edge....My friend used before also, the stopper actually came off, the wipers went out of place and scratch the windscreen. He also was cursing, because warranty for the wipers but who pays for the windscreen....:banghead::banghead:

There is a windscreen specialist in SS2, PJ. I can't remember the name of the shop but it is right opposite Pelita. An elderly man does the polishing there and he is good. I was satisfied with his job. Quite pricey but worth it.

Yes.. Glass Mechanic. Now I remember. I didn't know they moved. I polished my windscreen sometime in mid 2012.

i know how to do it guys...

i have the tools already, standing by...

i need cerium oxide now. That's all.

where can get it in malaysia?

Can also will be expensive...

powder including delivery gonna' cost me less then rm120... and with that amount of powder i can do more than one windshield (by rough estimation 3 to 4). But I'm looking for local suppliers... I guess I have to go to chem factories that manufactures this locally...

but after some research I found that it might not be to fix deep scratches.

but the kit on the video i posted will.. That's gonna' cost me quite a bit... but still cheaper than replacing the windshield. :proud:
