Just read some taiwan magazine that the disc brake need to do balancing each 30k, izzit necessary??

brake skimming is it ?

done only when you feel the car shaking when you are braking

if you want to try , drive your car and brake like mad and as soon as you stop put cold water , then your disc will warped and need skimming

it depends...there is both balancing and skimming to get rid of the wobbling sensation...

if im not mistaken...they do balancing if your car is new...like my V6...after 4 days(new) i could feel the wobbling when braking at high speeds....they just did some balancing...

is your steering shaking or your foot pedal shaking?

foot pedal shaking = needs skimming
steering shaking = tyre needs rebalancing

cherrios!

as the diameter of disc rotors are comparatively small to the size of whell and tyre as well as light in weight, they dont affect as much on balancing nor they contribute to vibration or juddering unless if the surface is uneven, then skimming is needed.

problems might occur from bent or disaligned wheel, worn out wheel bearing and its housing, tyres uneven wear.

on-wheel balancing might solve the problem if problem persists. the problem is quite general and not specific enough.
