year 2002 tyres are not what you accept as trade after you've bought a car. I paid RM 45k for this car which I thought would be fun. A car normally runs with average mileage of 20k per annum would have even with worn tyres, 2004 ones on them. You guys check the market price, k. You be the judge. As a trade you'd also have them on a balancer to check for pothole dinks etc.. but I guess we have lots of forummers tomorrow.
I sold my 1984 car with an M20B25 engine which is 22 years old and still runs, with bills and customs declarations, full leather and fondmetal wheels etc. Rust is a sure thing. He sent 2 other mechanics to check the car.
I don't want to add what I've had to do with his car. There are 2 sides to a story. As far as I'd love to battle it out here, I have other things to bog me down.
It's only in my interest to receive what's acceptable before parting with certain things. And in this case it's only a set of wheels and an old engine and tranny.
It's been 2 months, I've not seen good tyres with good wheels.
It's normal business practice to hold what you've got till you've gotten what's been agreed. When there are 2 parties and different standards, there are often gray areas which in this case is difficult to iron out.
It's sad that it has to be this way. But if all are willing............

Decent tyres, not 2002 whatever the tyre. Rubber is rubber. For those of us who went to school, it deteriorates. Unfortunately some of us did chemistry. I don't want to bore you with molecular bonds.
If you check with follow forummers, I've given away 2003 tyres because I wont use them anymore and I've sold off my 2004 tyres dirt cheap. I mean this as no offence to anyone. I'm merely defending my argument here.

ONE SET original SATRIA GTI wheels with at least 2004 Imported tyres - like GTIs come with. Jap or german made preferred. Or new underlicenced ones, which are also fine.

Now's a story of a guy who's owed money to the bank which i've cleared by buying a satria gti at 45k. Any dealer would only have given 39k tops.
And he buys my e30 325i with all round discs and leather seats for for 14k.
Discount 6k from the above and you have 8k albeit rust, I think most would have it. All old e30s have that problem.
Plus extra gearbox and engine, you have the car for 6k tops. Please be reasonable.
I don't wish to slag reedoor off as he has done as it would only bring me to his level. Meant as no offence too. He's young and has lots to learn. I have too. Patience with people being one. As well as tolerance. My bluntness also brought to this.
Communication skills another. If you read me as wanting to cheat you. Nope. It's just negotiation. And it should be one on one and not create a newspaper daily like in ZTH as well as this place.

Just bring those rims with decent tyres. The problem with the both of us is that neither one listens or gives in. There has to be a path where 2 meet. It cannot be a one way win or deal all the time. C'mon give and take.
If you've still no money then??? I'm even inclined to deal and wait for tyres, but what's the likelihood of you coming back with them in the future? Hence I hold. It's a really simple topic here. Good tyres with the rims and we deal.
I bought an overpriced car riddled with problems which I will not dabble on here as I've accepted it when I bought it. As to honesty, it's another lengthy topic to be discuss on used car sale/exchange. There is no end. On a short note, I bought a car which was only used by this guys for a couple of months.
doesn't take long to predict and find where it came from too.
so look, just bring what's acceptable and take your things quickly. no offence we all want to get on with what we're doing. It's another busy day for me. So till then....... I wait. Simple and straightforward, but now with an audience.
