Con By Police yet Again

The simplest thing to do is to not commit any offence.

As for the seatbelt thing, I've got a friend who is really really reluctant to put his on for reasons known only to himself. Each time he spots a copper or approaches a blind corner where cops are known to camp, he scrambles to put his belt on. After passing that point, he removes it again. I'm like "wtf man? why don't you just keep it on?". Think he said it's uncomfortable. "Why don't you get a belt stopper then?" Puzzling...

We should stop bribing the cops. We are only spoiling the market by bribing them. I told myself not to give them anymore money from the first time i kena. Apparently i was driving at 121kmh and my mum was beside me. She told me just to give him 20 bucks to settle it. I did that and questioned myself why should i pay when i didn't do anything wrong. From then on, any cops who stop me, i will just say i will buy the picture when the summon reaches my house. I won't sign anything nor will i admit i'm guilty, till proven.

One thing to note though, when you're stopped by police. Always be polite and firm. Do not ever try to challenge them coz it will put yourself in a tight position. If you feel you're being victimised, politely tell him you did not speed and will wait for the summon. If you try to be funny like saying asking him to fuck off or talk to your lawyer or just plainly rude, you will get yourself into more trouble. Courtesy pays.

So guys, stop the bribing!!

is best not to give kopi money, take down the officer badge number and name then call the rasuah number stick at the back of the cop car

Funny they still have the courage to ask and accept a bribe even wearing a "Saya Anti Rasuah" badge on their shirt.

If me, i'd feel like a low life bastard who's almost as bad as a beggar. A beggar is pitiful, but an extorting policeman is almost as bad a thief.

I feel so ashamed on behalf of the cop who tried to ask me to bribe him.

Talk and action big difference la... tho they stick " Saya Anti Rasuah " they still minta kopi $$ hahaha.....
My fren once kena, then he ask can 'runding' o not... The officer smile back den my fren gave 20 den cabutz.... lolz..

I bet you insist they put on their seatbelts then don't ya?

after reading ur comment..

i think this is the best solution actually.. i love to do this..

when a cop stop me for certain kind of reason i always question the cops on my mistakes that can make me getting the summons.. as usual when they run out of ideas they start to looking other thing for example seat belts la and tinted or anything that againts the law.. as usual the question will be berape boleh settle is the word as what we expect..

i said " saye tak nak bagi duit sebagai rasuah, jika saye memberi maka banyaklah orang seperti kamu yang tidak beretika.. sila beri saye surat saman beserta dengan no polis awak supaya esok saye boleh mintak ayah saye yg bekerja di bukit aman selesai kan saman ini sekali dengan tindakan disiplin keatas kamu"

good eh?he would definately be scared and say.. please go no saman for u.. guarentee pass..

But one thing for sure dont even give duit kopi.. if u gave them that means u are one of the culprit too.. if by a mistake if the police is stirct u might also go to prison and court if he takes legal action towards u..

peace out..

Hi,

We've the right not to sign the summon? I taugh we must sign one?? NO ?!

yeah i think we shuld or else he will take u to the nearest police station..

Sometime, u really need to give Duit kopi even if you don wan. i once got stop by a Waja Polis car with 4 blue uniformed polis in it. They will say this and that la, u guy know, tinted la, sport rim, intercooler la etc etc... then i say kalau salah bagi saman saja, but they don wan and give a lot of excuses and u know what, i stop by the roadside for more than 1/2 hr until they say follow them back to Balai cos they suspect my car got drug...wtf...what if i follow them back, and while they inspect my car and they drop the the white powder inside and say they found inside my car(this happen to one of my frend), then i mati katak.

So at last give them duit kopi..no choice...i rather give kopi-o then framed by them.... :)

wat to do.......those police now will say "encik saya dahaga lar ini hari"

I received this from a friend and think its useful so here I am. Read up very good guide.

WHAT TO DO IF STOPPED BY MALAYSIAN POLICE

This is a very useful information. Please pass it on to your friends and
family.............especially the women folk!

The next time you are stopped by persons who claimed they are
plainclothes police, you are under no obligation to answer their
questions or follow their orders, lawyers told Malaysiakini today.

"Policeman who is not wearing his uniform does not have the authority to
stop anyone," lawyer and human rights activist Sivarasa Rasiah said.
Sivarasa was commenting on the alleged gang-rape of an 18-year-old Uni
student by four men claiming to be police officers on New Year's Eve.

The girl said that her car was stopped in Taman Tun Dr Ismail in Kuala
Lumpur and were asked by the men to open the car bonnet. She was then
told that she had committed an offence and ordered to follow the men to
a police station. The girl was driven in her car along the North-South
expressway to the Tapah-Cameron Highlands road before she was raped in
an oil palm estate.

This incident, and many others have sparked confusion over the
procedures which motorists must follow when flagged down by the police.
The

most common problem is that most people take instructions without
determining if the other person is really a cop," lawyer Annie Santiago
said.

However, if you are stopped by a uniformed policeman, then you are
required to stop. But you need not get out of the car because you are
not expected to do so, Santiago said. The other rule to follow is to
provide your identity card only when you are asked to do so. "Even then,
you should get his ID first to confirm if he is a cop. There is no harm
in calling the relevant police station to verify if he is supposed to be
on duty that day," Sivarasa said.

Both lawyers said that motorists should never follow an officer to the
police station unless one is under arrest. "If you are not sure, and
your instincts tell you that something is wrong, then drive off to the
nearest police station and lodge a report," Sivarasa said.

In response to the alleged gang-rape of the 18-year-old, Women's Aid
Organisation executive-secretary Ivy Josiah called on the police to
launch an education program to teach the public about their rights to
prevent them from being victimised by bogus police officers.

Procedures to follow in the event you are stopped by uniformed police
Officers while driving.
o Stop the car and wind down your window.
o If the police officers ask for your documents, request
to see their IDs first.
o If you are satisfied about their identity, ask them if
you are being summoned, and for what offence.
o Produce your identity card and driver's license and wait
to collect your summon ticket.

In the event that the police officers ask you to follow them to the
police station:
o Ask if you are under arrest and for what offence.
o If you are not under arrest, you have the right to
leave.

In the event you are flagged down by persons you believe could be
plainclothes police:
o Do not stop because plainclothes police officers do not
have the authority to stop you.
o Drive to the nearest police station and lodge a report.
(The same procedure applies to pedestrians)

In the event the police come to your house:
o Do not let them in before checking their IDs.
o If you are not satisfied, phone the nearest police
station and confirm if they had been sent to your house.
o You are under no obligation to allow them into the house
if they don't have a search warrant.
o Do not go with them if you are not under arrest.

In the event persons who claimed to be plainclothes police come to your
house:
o Do not let him in because they do not have the authority
to do so.
o Lodge a report at the nearest police station.

They ask from Rm200, but i only give them RM40...cos i have the habit of not putting all my money in my wallet, just put max RM50, the rest i hide....
yep..i think it be gone.... i have a frend who camped outside the police station for 4 days just to make sure the police did not dismantle ne thing from his car...hehehe
