very dangerous driver...
Nowdays lots of 'P' driver drive very dangerous...
not enuff experience want to show off?
good la...
stupid fella la...
Drunk>?he should be punish...should use psycho to make sure he feel that he was the murderer...
make he feel guilty for the rest of his life...

Not all 'P' drivers are like that. I'm a 'P' driver myself. It's just that some people prefer to drive a little bit faster, but that doesn't mean we don't have control of the car.

The main thing here is not being a 'P' driver or not, it's about Driving Under Influence. Alcohol is the main culprit here, and oh, talking on the phone while under influence just made matters worse.

Go simbah cat la there ... kekekeekke ...atleast people will think twice about filling up petrol there :D

KUALA LUMPUR: The woman who was burnt alive in her car following an accident has been identified as Florina Joseph.

City traffic police investigations chief Deputy Supt Abdullah Roning said the police, however, were conducting a DNA test to confirm this.

“We believe she was a 27-year-old college student from Sarawak,” he said. The woman was burnt beyond recognition and her personal identification documents were also destroyed in the fire on Thursday.

One of the petrol kiosk attendants said its counter hours were only until midnight.

Another kiosk said it could not confirm if the incident had taken place in its station as the night shift staff had not reported anything.

The supervisor known only as Syah said that according to company procedure, the fire extinguishers were only for station use.

yeehau....yah...i saw that this morning too...it's is true the extinguisher is for that station's use only...but in an emergency, one cannot be faulted for not following certain rules mah. for the supervisor to have said that...no PR skills at all..BHP will get even worse rap for what he said cos some ppl may take his statement as is.

i read around but couldnt find any news about the vios occupants...what news? they're in for big trouble...if they survive...dumb asses for DUI and driving while on the phone...mythbusters tested and found that talking on the fon is almost as bad as DUI as the concentration isnt where it's supposed to be.double whammy. damned skill 17 yos we have nowadays heheheh

if his mom went to fill up petrol at the station and when she drives out about 5 meters away before her car catches fire, will he bring the fire extinguisher out to save his mom? :thefinger:

some people just dun understand what an "emergency" is. :stupid:

Really, typical Malaysian no balls attitude or they would say "bukan pasal saya"
The worse attitude of us Malaysians that I can't stand is their attitude of just stand and watch instead of doing the right thing.

Example, car accidents, they love to slowly cruise passed the scene and said
"Wah! Very bad accident wor..."
if u wanna look, why dun u get down of the car and help instead?

A normal HUMAN BEING that have the feeling of care and love,
would actually respond in a very shocking expression like

"CAR BURNING!? WHERE!?"

(quickly grabbed the extinguisher and rush to the scene with that guy leaving the other petrol kiosk attendant to guard the kiosk)

I dunno what kind of animal or Sida-Sida did BHP hired as their petrol kiosk attendants.

Really, I guess that guy should have just break the door and grab the extinguisher...

RIP girl...do haunt these 2 bastards that I would say caused your life as well...

Bloody brainless BHP management. UR bloody Fire Extinguisher made of gold ka? Spraying gold dust is it? Keeping it inside to shine ur balls ka...?

R.I.P girl...

Thanks to Akina for trying. We need more people like you to show a good example in the face of emergencies. Note to all others, please spread the mentality of helping someone in dire need especially its a life and death situation. Be open mind and responsive to provide aid, not sit behind a glass and talk about protocols...

I totally AGREE dat all fellow drivers SHOULD have at least ONE fire extinguisher in d car....even if it's d small 1....each fella got 1..if 5 fellas stop 2 help in 1 accident scene, got 5 already...dat's better thn NONE,right?BUT,d ability/know-how 2 operate d extinguisher is as important as well.....
n tho i dun blame BHP as a whole,i do put partial blame on dat TWO attendants.....common sene & judgemenet...in such a situation..they could haf done sumthg 2 help...yes,they haf their fear of being robbed but in such a situation....a lone guy rushing in n offering them 2 hold on 2 his IC,can't they judge?
i've been in a similiar situation b4 n yes,i refused 2 help but i guess i judged properly b4 i went off.it was in an underground parking way pass midnite...i was alone n no1 was in sigh, dis fella walked up 2 me as i was abt 2 leave, asking 4 help 2 jump start his car.BUT whn i asked him whc 1 is his car,he sorta hesitated b4 pointing 2 a "random" car....my instinct told me i did d right thg n my action certainly did NOT cause any lost of life, dat's 4 sure!

RIP Florina Joseph

KUCHING: The mother of college student Florina Joseph, 27, who was burnt alive in her car following an accident in Kuala Lumpur on June 3, is not going to let herself be overcome by grief. Instead, Sara Mateoi wants to be strong and remember the happy moments she had shared with her daughter. When met at her home in Kampung Plaman Baki in Serian, some 60km from here yesterday, Sara did not look like a mother who had just lost a daughter.

There were no tears, no look of depression nor frustration. Her voice was strong when she spoke of Florina. “I understand that many are taken aback and confused as to where I find my strength. I have my faith and I find my comfort in prayers. I have accepted that she’s in God’s care now. “Nothing in this world is permanent, is it? What saddens me is that I won’t be able to see her for the last time in the condition she is in,” she said. Florina’s body was burnt beyond recognition and her family is still waiting for her remains to be flown home.

Though Florina’s remains at Hospital Universiti Kebangssan Malaysia were identified by her sister, Sophia, the authorities are not prepared to release her body yet. Police have insisted on a DNA test to confirm her identity.
Sara said that for days before the accident, Florina made frequent phone calls home – just to ask simple questions like what the family had for dinner and their Gawai Dayak menu. “It was very unusual,” she told The Star. “Sometimes in one night, she would make 10 phone calls home. “She would call for a while, then hang up and in the next minute, call again. “This continued for weeks prior to the accident,” she added. “I guess she just wanted to hear my voice.”

Florina, the second eldest child in the family, would have graduated from her business course in July. She worked part-time at night and attended college during the day. Describing her daughter as a bubbly person, Sara said the best thing about Florina was her generosity. Florina’s death caused an outcry when attendants at a petrol kiosk along Jalan Cheras refused to lend fire extinguishers to a passer-by who wanted to put out the fire in her car.

Meanwhile, MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong said consumers should not boycott BH Petrol because of the incident as it would affect its employees who are mostly Malaysians. He said the company currently had 3,000 employees in the country and a boycott would cause many to suffer. “I personally feel that a boycott is inappropriate and unethical,” Chong told reporters at Wisma MCA yesterday.

It looks like bhp's company policy is to blame. I know of other instances where company's procedure caused hardship to its employees & in this case the 2 fellas are probably thinking of their jobs.

This should be held in bhp's management's responsibility.

And for that matter, its time for all petrol stations throughout malaysia to review their fire extinguisher protocol.

On a sideline, personally i have been hunting for bhp stations wherever practical as i think their petrol is good, and i even promote it to my colleagues.

From now on, no more.

After this incident, it reminded me of this bhp contest held months ago - have to fill up petrol to get stickers for a contest form. There were no posters as to what are their prizes are & the employees at the station look puzzled when i enquired. And no publicity in the papers like shell did to publicise the winners. Giving me a funny impression of this company now ..

Haih...see her mum also I felt sad for her...even there are no tears in her eyes but I believe deep in her she misses her daughter very much and is a great loss for a mother to have lost their own child. I'm not yet a father but I know how parents feel, love and care for their children.

Really frustrating and yet at the same time realy heartbreaking news...she is such a young girl with bright future ahead.

Boycott BHP for me is no problem at all as I'm always SHELL's customer. :top:

It may be right that boycotting BHP is not the right thing to do as it may caused a lot of employees under BHP to lose their job if this incident have caused them major loss. I guess just boycott the Jalan Cheras BHP will do. I dunno what type of safety measures or protocol is that to keep all the fire extinguishers inside and as human being, we should help anyone who is in need of help.

Btw, would like to know who agree to have Fire Extinguisher in the car? Is it safe to have it in the car? As from what I see in movies, it may cause explosion? Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
