Change AMP

I DIY. I replace my current AMP with a 1000w AMP. Connect the ground and positive wire on the new AMP. Why is there no power? I thought all AMP using the same voltage?

the remote wire will turn on ur amp everytime u on ur player... and itll turn the amp off everytime u off ur player...
