it is an authorized car dealer, can i still complain at the toyota customer service?

They put all the blame on Toyota and let the problem out of their hand.

the dealer managers sure takut one...unless they are not afraid of being pulled out from appointed dealer list.

anyway, black or dark colour cars are very sensitive paint especially in our weather and condition. as the car is relatively new, u shud always refer back to ur sales advisor and his immediate superior and not the service advisor. let the sales people handle ur car if they feel a polish will solved the problem. personally i might try rubbing compound first, before polish.

have detailed record or every thing done by you and by toyota personnel. what they promised, how long, how fast etc. and remember every scratch mark u have on ur car, and make sure no additional scratches after delivery.

believe me, the CRD (now i remember) or Customer Relation Department also do not like to receive complaints. when they got one, they need to work u see?

y? coz they always dun do what they r suppost to do?

oh ur getting this wrongly. they always do. but when customer complaints, means a job had not been done approriately.

in workshop operation, this means CBJ = come back job.

come back job is a waste of time in terms of production.

sample of CBJ.

send in car for 30,000km service. complaint of brake screeching noise when applied.

during service, owner informed the front brake pad is almost worn out which caused the noise, need replacement but agree can last another 10,000km.
customer refused, saying he will change during next service. reason = no money.

car delivered to a happy customer. but 2 days after that, CRD called regarding this customer and say customer is complaining brakes noisy again. u explained the situation but CRD advised u to call customer, arrange one date for car send in and make sure the noise disappear.

how time is wasted.
1. to find customer profile in the system.
2. to call customer. if he answer ok. if he's in a meeting, u need to call again.
3. tried calling customer 3 times but still in meeting. call customer the next day. managed to talk to the customer. but he's using the car to outstation. monday only will be back.
the day was thusday. so, 5 days will be wasted.
4. customer didnt turn up on monday. call him to remind. he promised the day after.
5. car came in on tuesday, 6 days after CRD called. whos fault?

6. advice customer to change brake pad and showed to him the pads. he insisted on using. so, clean the brakes, sand paper a bit and tested no sound. return car to customer and prayed wont see him again until next service.
7. wednesday CRD called again saying customer still complaint of brake noise.
8. CRD demand problem solves once and for all. CRD spoke to manager. manager agrred to change brake pad under warranty.
9. customer came in again, brake pad changed..FOC. customer smile and never return again.

u c how CRD disturb SC personnel? until customer get brake pad free... even though its stated brake pad is not covered under warranty.

sighh...juz sharing sumthing based on my experince.

Actually, I had the same problem after spraying Metalic Black on car, a Galant back in 2001. The so-called 'oily' spots went away after 6 months. Same problem on my mom's Kia Carnival (also Metalic Black). Perhaps, same scenario?

i seconded u sir

i just noticed my aunt's new honda City also in black color got this kindda 'oily' spot ..she did complaint on it but the Honda dealer said it was normal on black paint especially metallic color.. surprisingly he was right.. after a while.. the spot gone forever ..

any special color that manufacturer blend it to make such spot appear and reason why?

how long is ur "a while"??

bro..this is not oily spot but the uneven polished. this is not toyota problem. I'm sure this is the dealer problem. what the branch manager said is right. They really sent to car wash ppl to polished and wax. This are commonly happen on inexpert ppl do the polishing will cause all the spot.

hihi...

after 6 hours polish+wax+wash

my car's prob solved.....

hope the "oily spot" will not appear again..............

my 2 cent is...

its a common problem when u polished ur car when its not 100% clean...which means u have to make sure that ur car is 100% clean/washed b4 u put on the wax..

happened to me..n i just buat bodo...ahahha..solid black paint only..:D

That is a faulty paint job ... not polished or not ... just request the paint job to be redone
