B16B using B18Cr Block!

yep. 2.25 usually gets good results for most 1.6 applications. Some people have gotten good results with a 2.5, but I haven't really seen that with any B16's I've encountered.

Cat will always kill power (even if they're high flow), so don't expect to beat some dyno results of cat-less B16s.

3 resonators eh? heh.. even with one I'm having clearance issues going over speed bumps, I dunno how you manage with 3 (O_o)

As for the toda oil pump, just say that I've seen it, and it looks exactly the same as a stock unit.

Bypass springs, that one usually engine builders know where to get. The spring stiffness regulates the pressure, so they usually have played around enough to know what stiffness works best.

Here is a picture and video of my exhaust system.

the resonators are hotdog style, so you can fit as many as you want. I'm changing my cats because its getting old. Normally we'd loose power on the bottom end as velocity picks up later in the revs. But at top end, it should provide max 1-2 hp gain.

I agree with 2.5 being too big. unless ofcourse your making more than 250hp with a 1.6L like this one;

I only want to change my cats becasue its 10 years old.. lol... normally it affects velocity at lower rpm thats why you loose power at the bottom end. But you should gain at top end like 1-2 hp max.

I agree with a 2.5in system being too big. Unless your making 250hp out of a 1.6L n/a then you'll need it. Like this one

man this site is so slow...:(

woah.. triple resonators. lol.. interesting setup.

Sounds quite on the loud side still.

I had an exhaust notes thread a while up, maybe you can dig it up if you want to hear some of the Malaysian's VTEC exhaust notes. Try keyword "exhaust notes" thread started by me in the forum search section.

What's the rev limit on that run? 8-8.5K? Doesn't look like it's a full throttle run, since I didn't hear the tires chirp in second?

Chris2000, I think I answered that question when I popped by your shop just now in the afternoon? Heh. Sorry couldn't hang around for long, I'm basically a taxi driver here ferrying my family around (>_>)

Vtec 5900
Rev limit 9100rpm

I didn't shift hard on that run because had new tranny oil and gears were a bit tough. It's much smoother now after its run in, so i can shift harder.

Well hotdog resonators don't reduce much of the loudness, just the high pitchedness. So it sounds more deep. More sound videos on the way once I get a good road.

I've checked out the exhaust sounds and most of them are very high pitched. Another one sounded deep but like a digeridoo. Like hollow. I'll do one with the camera next to the muffler next time and another one revving in cabin.
