To use a 6a13 block with your 6a12 mivec heads you will have to port match to the pistons correct? According to the link i posted above 6a12 piston size is only 78mm not 81mm which is the 6a13 (2.5L) piston size.
As for cams i am sure Matspeed can do it if you ask. How much it costs, that's a different story heh.
Looking over the specs of the 6a13, i think if you balance the crankshaft before installation you could have are really powerful motor, especially looking at the how close the bore and stroke sizes are. Good luck :D keep updating, get videos as well very interested in FTOs.
This is far the most helpful information..thanx broI don't think the Mivec 1.6 pistons will fit for exactly the reason you mentioned earlier the pins not matching. But then again i am just assuming. You really have to take the motor apart to check whether the pins will fit and whether or not there is enough clearance to the valve stems. The measurements for the stock FTO pistons will have differently shaped domes.
Balancing a V6 engine? I am not sure. I know 4 cylinder engines run about RM1k give or take a couple hundred. With a 2.5L and custom cams i think your engine could hit more than 230BHP easily. Keep in mind you have V6 not a 4 :) so you will definitely have a lot more potential given you have the money to keep the project going :wavey:
