Guys,

What benefit can I gain if I go to short air ram ?
What is the pro and con? can share here? Thanks

smoother high rpm... less air restriction.... low end pickup will be abit less compare to before... because loss of delta pressure....

Delta pressure most commonly refers to the difference in pressure before and after a fluid filter (oil, hydraulic, or fuel) which indicates when the filter is clogged. Most aircraft have "Delta P" indicators to show this condition.

Do the change will affected fuel consumption?
Pls advise.. Thanks:adore:

I don't think it will affect the fuel consumption, but well it depends alot on your driving habits though!

how short is short air ram? as in like driving the car removing the whole hose leaving the throttle body inlet visible? will a short ratio gear substitute the poor low end torque?

Let's use mivec engine and gearbox as example, do short air ram suitable to use?
How short is an idea setting?
Pls advise.. Thanks:adore:

if i remember correctly, short intake reduce air velocity.that's y most vtec
intake system is at least 2 feet long.thats just me.

1 feet long will direct face to the fan...
will suck in hot air :hmmmm:

that's why cai is invented.they still retain the length of the intake pipe.
