salam and greeting to all,

what do you think for the best grip equal to selling price. lately even achilles atr sport oso can get rank in time attack. so let we know more about tyre value for money.

1. toyo proxes t1r - rm245
2. dunlop sp sport
3. hankook rs3
4. achilles atr sport
5. federal 595 evo

else if got suggestion.. please mention hopefully with the price itself.

really bang for buck, achilles 123 & nankang ns2r. for 15inch, please be aware of 2 models of achilles 123 in the market. there's 123 & 123S. 123S is the control tyre for SNF race. grips like shit, tyre wears really fast. look for 123 instead of 123S. hankook rs3 is very very good but not exactly cheap.

ATR Sports is cheap. :top: But aint a UHP tyre

Federal 595 Evo is normal road tyre HP range. About RM240 for 195/50/15

Federal 595 RSR is the UHP range, some claim semi-slick. RM365 a piece.

i saw the shootout result that hankook rs3 made a good rank with the car itself,
so mind sharing the grip, wear and price for 15?

sorry forgot to mention about the tyre size. i think its better for now to just keep it at 15. but its okay to mention other size for our general knowledge..

195/50, 195/55, 205/50.....R15.....all differ in prices, and some models have in this size and other in other sizes:driver:

According to their website Achilles 123 only in 195/50R15 size, where 123S comes in 17 and 18"....:driver:

Federal RS-R is Extreme category, one spot below semi slick, but some still call them semi also...

Example as below:-
Entry/Eco - XM2, Conti CC5, Yoko A Drive
HP - NCT 5, Falken ZE-522
Mid/Comfort performance - Toyo C1-S, BS GR-100
UHP - Yoko S-Drive, Nexen N8000
Max - GY Asy 2, Michelin PSS, Conti CSC5
Extreme - Federal RS-R, Advan AD-08R, Nankang NS-2R
Semi - Federal FZ-201, Toyo R888, Yoko A048, A050
Slick - Federal FZ-101, Toyo RS-1, Yoko A005

Damn it, stop putting NCT5 as HP. Replace it with ATR Sport.

whoa really dont know what to say, for the size, 195/50 is out of the league where i think 205/50 and 195/55 still can be consider to use on road since 195/50 is too small for myvi wheel arch.

Why nankang ns2r get the extreme level since the outcome from the user said that its not good at all from grip in wet nor dry. oso being the same level with ad08 seems to be exaggerating for that tyre.

now for the price federal vs toyo vs yoko vs hankook for semi slick n grip, which one the best bos?

Are you sure that review is for the NS2R or is it NS2? NS2R got decent rating as one of the cheapest extreme level tires around.

I dont think wet grip is as bad gua. :bawling:

Use until that time then can compare, but ATR may be better as got no sipes and bigger grooves. Compound traction AA, hope this is true rating then should be good....:driver:

What I posted in not my grouping. It is category by the tyre brand manufacturers on what model for what use. Whether which performs better depends....

You will only be satisfied by T1R for the first 30-40%. I rather go for Ventus V12/PS3

For daily use get PS3 performance and get some negative camber setup -1.3 to -1.6 if you want to attack corner. if for time attack in track many real semi slick can go if budget limited go toyo R888.
