Hi I was wandering why my rear tire hitting the lower arch when I'm going up hill or a high speed bump? Lower arch means near to door arch below, it doesn't make sense but it's true
Is it my rear bush has worn out then makes the rear tire to wobble around? I'll try to post some picture tmrw :adore:

Hehe... Sorry tumpang if you don't mind. Got similar problem

I got same case... My rear right absorber not good already. If carry ppl at back, go on bump or cornering, will crap on the wheel arch. I don't understand why. I am just using slightly bigger tyres. Stock is 185 60 R14 I think. I'm using 195 55 R15. :hmmmm:

Is your absorber too soft? or already kaput? Bushing out usually can hear funny sound down there while dirving.

i'd say most likely absorbers almost dead, it becomes softer and probably the reason why ur tires are rubbing the fender upon load. u could try to roll your fender? it may help, or best case, change the absorber.

check absorber..

if ok, then check ur chassis.. mayb got crack (god forbid)

Gudluck :burnout:

check for bent lower arm also....

maybe previous accident repair only by adjusting chamber/alignment only who knows????

first of all check your vehicle height before you switch any stuff and the re check again when you fit sometime different spec.

One more thing you may wan to pay attention to is that the measurement should be measured with and without weight. Why? because not all product is made equally.

say example, especially for adjustable shocks. if when empty weight height is 30mm, after change is still 30mm clearance, but that does not mean when you got two man inside the car the clearance will be the same. The oem may be at 25mm but the replacement market unit may drop to 20/15 mm with the same two person weight. Because of the spring rate constant is different from brand, manufacturer and material...

The car itself will not out of a sudden become lowered or hitting the arch, always there is a reason and cause of action causing it

i face this issue before..may rim offset..i use 16inch sure scratch the arch..if using 15 din face any issue..maybe the tyre width..some tyres the width is different even the same profile

195/55/R15 diameter is bigger than 185/60/R14 and probably the offset is further out too, so on heavy load it will hit the upper wheel arch

Depends on the travel of your suspension. We tried looking for the part that the tyre was scrapping on a Toyota once. It only scrap on full load (5 person). So we tape the wheel arch, loaded with 5 persons and went over speed bumps. When hear the scrapping we came back to check and found it scrapping the lower part like what you explain. We just knock the fender in, because scrap very lightly only...
