why 20v eng ( svt ) retard

why when press pedal hardly..i mean press to the floor..can feel the eng retard..wat prob..the vvt retard or other prob..how to solve...suddenly car pull back than accelerate again..mine svt eng..donno how abot bt eng..

Maybe can try turning 1st... reset the engine timing....

Did u check ur spark plug???.....normally if u press all the pedal ( FULL THROTTLE ), the car will rush and accelerate. is better u check the diagnosis first and check the spark plug. Or if u wash ur engine and maybe the water stain at the spark plug hole, also will make the retard condition. GOOD LUCK:_: :regular_smile:

u might try it

i) check engine error code...
ii) check spark plug...
iii) swap your AFM
iv) clean ur TB

Doesn't mean u never wash ur engine room will make the spark plug become bad and making retard condition.Spark plug also have life limit tooo.....:Not_Impressed: I agree bro chinozie idea, that u just follow his checking list one by one.

if yes.......this is the famous problem in 20v..even me and chinozie got this prob and were unable to solve it..

the feeling is like the car bog down and suddenly start to pickup again right?

then increase the fuel pressure...but ur FC will got a little bit higher...

i am facing the same problem too...try to adjust the timing...sometimes can help....
