How much is a Japanese car 10k interval service?
My Mark X only less than rm190 for 10k oil change last time using 6 ltr FS oil with filter.
My Livina only about rm100 for the same.

Note: I bought my own oil during Tesco promotion though.

If you're talking Toyota, not a lot. The most expensive a service can be is 1.2k that's including all the oils and gaskets and stuff. Mazda 2 and Vios major service is at the 100-200k range which will cost more as it involves timing chain inspection. Otherwise it's relatively cheap even at the service center.

Well, depends what is serviced. More items more costly, and most SC have fixed timing for replacement parts too.....

imo problem is not really with the service interval costs.... its the cost to replace stuff that goes suddenly unexpectedly wrong.... it can be a huge bomb

friends 308 transmission went wrong, cant remember what it costs but i think he was quoted a 5 figure number.....

neighbor's merc key got lost, replacement was 1-2k (i think some japs will cost as much so not sure here)

Peugeot 208
Mazda 2 (diesel is coming, awesome.)
Honda City
Honda Jazz

Or a used R56 MINI Cooper S / Clubman (Maintenance is not as crazy as you guys think, just buy a warranty)

Slightly above RM100k I'd recommend the new facelifted Ford Focus. At RM118k with 180hp that's madness.

Haha! it's a good thing you guys bring interesting topics to FB! Good one! :) Initially i was thinking to forego my account and just connect via FB, but after I clicked connect via FB on my phone, I was asked to enter username and password, i did everything until it says my captcha is wrong ... but i can't see any captcha input field ... so i went back to my laptop to just wanna continue seeing this thread.... haha! but it's good to come back here ... feels like home ... like the first place where all malaysian motoring enthusiasts can hang out. :)

I recommend any of the Japanese make mentioned by bro. Izso, but just want to know why Almera not in?.....
Almera fuel consumption from friend, sucks. Vios wins in terms of power and FC.
(IMO I hate the pussy design radio console or whatever u call it...)

I would suggest vios xD:biggrin:

hi peeps.

im wondering what is the difference between this 2. alot accessory shop also not clear bout it. cheapest in market now should be locally made Jasma brand, but wondering if anyone did use it before? or the 'Trust' cap ayam?

looking to install this 2 item to my car soon. need more review from users themselves. if u happen to be using any brand or knowledgeable bout it, please recommend too. since my car is not going to any trackday, just occasionally sprint and some hill climb...
