compare with stock or on a tight budget,
i would get a new pioneer HU as they r pretty reliable and cheaper than most top line brands and also add a pair of decent component in the front.
tat abt ends it...
if source for deals, can probably get 2 pair of decent component and a new pioneer 7750 from the forum.
i heard that mohawk orange component r value for money.but i have not personally tried them.

i think if this guy here wants an opinion for a budget of 2K, we've got to recommend him something worth 2K instead of asking him to save more.

basically, if you want brand new items, you can go for a simple pioneer 5650 ot 4750 player. front comps go for a pair of mohawk orange 6". amps go for any reliable 2 channel amp ie kenwood, alpine. balance for installation and wiring. you might have a little extra money or you might need to top up a bit extra if you're planing to go for a low end 12" subwoofer plus box ie. kenwood or RDS or even mohawk orange 12".

but if you don't mind 2nd hand items, i think you can get abit higher spec comps, amps and woofer.

a normal pioneer 4650 like appleyard suggested...
a 4 way carrozeria speaker 4 the rear...
coz this 4 way carrozeria can get in half cut shop o this forum at around mayb 300+...so next time u wan 2 sell again at 300 also no prob...

remember to set aside at least 200 for installation :)
