hi all members, hopes to get some opinion.

anyone know what is the vtec cut in rpm for civic 1.7???
i hardly fel the 'vtec feeling' as i tried to rev the engine at high rpm
how to check whether vtec mechanical parts is working???

hope members would give precious feedback

A1 model, you will rarely feel, but A2 you should feel...

yes.. is 5.5k or 6k.... the feeling should be quite obvious... beacuse the A2 ver is improved one and works very well too...

how old is your car ? any mod done ?

I believe your engine might be equipped with vtec-e. The e stands for economy.

I think Es vtec same like d16 sohc vtec when vtec engage...

year 05, no any engine mod, juz stabilizer bar & anti roll.
any suggestion on engine mod??juz the minor one

How bout exhaut system & intake section first...:hmmmm:
or just get oil and filter change.haha...
