ok, this is another question about super advan.
based on the spec, it should be 8j and 9j but there are also 7j and 8j version
but when I got the car, the tyre were at 215/45/17.
even when I upgrade to 225/45/17, it still fit nicely.
I could be wrong.. lets say if mine is 7j 8j instead.



ideally, wallet friendly too.
provided it don't rub when I full lock the steering.
225/50/17 cost around RM350 for a Korean made tyre over here.

225/50/17 kumho, Korea, SGD $115
225/50/17 Dunlop, japan, SGD $120

just SGD $5 more, to get a better comfortable tyre, it seems to be a better deal.

current, 225/45/17 don't rub nor scrub even with full load etc.
still got allowance, 1 finger 2 finger for front and rear.

50 profile, should be ok? scare later purchased and suffered..

downgrade means to 17' and below.. you told me to go for 16'..:bawling:



try look for indonesian tyre... far cheaper...

achilles atr sport 2 ---> 235/45-17
accelera phi-r ---> 225/50-17


both tyre i've tried....best bang for buck without worrying about tyre reliability....

Kumho PS31 in Kumho range is UHP
Dunlop VE302 are Dunlop Premium range for comfort and silent ride, since looking for comfort this looks like fit you.....lol

I think SG like that. If you are in PJ. my friend shop sure can fit and let you try.......lol

its expensive over here in Johor..
that's why I consider to buy in sg instead.

i notice indo tyre harden easily and crack.
i yet to see any wall crack on my 002 but on the main road area..
peeling off, not sure if its because of the 220 threadwear.

If really just 7/8j widths then yes, better just use 215/50/17 or 235/45/17. I think 225/50/17 is a bit too big already for your car even though the widths also fit 7/8j rims.
If 8.5j then should not use 215 anymore, then if 9j must use 245 already.

Rather than speculating, better you shot some pictures of your tire fitment for front and back from a side angle and show us here, then we can see if the tires are stretched or not and then estimate already what are the widths.

Hmm better from 2/3 angle or photos from the corner of your car looking towards the side from back to front and vice versa so can see if the tire is stretched or not. But looking at your photos above looks like not yet stretched so maybe not so wide rims.

I had one set GY Asy2 in 2011 then tried GT Radial in 2012. Somehow agree with your statement, even my GT Radial harden and crack earlier than my GY Asy2. GT Radial 4 years only, GY lasted 5 years...:driver:

probably the properties of the rubber.

hence I rather go for korea rubber, it still behave well even at 4th years.

maybe I should just sell off my adjustable and convert to stock..
I'm worried about the lower arm bush damaged again..

Would it be a good idea to replace the adjustable with stock setup instead?
I have check with my 2 other friends who drove perdana with evo engine.
They are on stock kyb and spring, tyre at 225/45/17..

Stock sure will be more comfortable, but you cannot lower and will the stock be able to hold your turbo power?
My stock suspension cannot hold the VR power at all. Initial pick up, the head goes up, the rear goes down like prancing horse......lol:biggrin:

should be ok, my 2 friends.
they are on AR70, proclaim to be 400hp and 560hp..

also on stock..

what's the real advantage of adjustable?
stiffer, better road handling, lowered, anything else?:biggrin:

Yup, can lower for looks, and mainly better handling.
Like use for daily can adjust softer damping, then go touge can ram it up a bit, then for track can ram it fully up.....lol
If do none of the above and use only for daily then can use stock.....hhahahhhaa:rofl:

my tyres didnt...the longest is almost 3years... :rofl::rofl::rofl:
