Tuning my Airtrek

Ah Wah said if convert manual, I can gain around 50whp more without any extra engine modification done. This was proven on dyno. If I can get 300whp with cams + manual = 350whp! WOW!!!!

The stock INVECS II is very robust. If I ever convert to manual one day, it will be when the slowbox fails. Else I'll stay with it for now. No plans yet.

Sharing a video I just recorded this morning on 0-100 (genuine ZTH). Before this, the car is being refueled with Shell (yeah, the crappy petrol again!) because I am getting really better mileage with it. With fuel like Petronas or Caltex, I am getting around 5.7-5.9km/L but with Shell gave me 6.2km/L. So yeah, the whp might be down slightly but I've done the remapping after installing the downpipe and fixing the vacuum leaks. I recond I'm seeing around 250whp'ish now maybe, down from 270whp.

The car is driven in "D" mode cos I need to hold the camera. I recond it can go faster by a bit more if I am on manual shifting. I'm pretty happy to see the result at around 5.9secs.
