Hi everyone!

How is everyone getting on with there airtreks, I know a few of you were partway or completed TD05 conversions?

Just thought I would share a few updates of my own. I have had the td05 in for about 5 months with no other mods except a fuel pump and tune and after a long break ive decided to carry on and do some more. I just brought some 875cc injectors and a tomei fuel pressure regulator and a turbo back exhaust system to follow in a few weeks.

Allthough ive done the tuning so far I will proberbly get some dyno time with a tuner to do the final tune.

So hows yours going?

Hey Chubster,

My project is coming along slowly but the engine side is nearly finished & time for another dyno run too :)

Fitted a medium size FMIC a couple of months back, a silicon intake pipe and a pod filter.

After trying 2 different cheap Evo 4 TD05's and getting sick of wastegate rattles I ended up spending some $$ and got a rebuilt Evo 9 TD05.

I got my exhaust redone too at a friends workshop:- 3 inch from the downpipe all way back to just before the rear diff where we put an AdrenalinR resonator and muffler. Sounds awesome and not too loud!

Just fitted and started tuning a set of STI pink injectors this week and will put a walbro 255 pump in on the weekend along with an extra auto trans cooler.

So hopefully next week wind the boost up to around 22psi and see how it goes!

Next on the list is coilovers and maybe brembos all around:biggrin::biggrin:

After doing my TD05 from Evo 7 + FMIC, I still have not tune yet. This is because I am using stock 450cc injectors + stock fuel pump. Will need to upgrade BOTH before I can tune.

On handling, I just installed XYZ Fully Adjustables. Height is okay (lower than my Eibach pro-kit) but I have not set the damping properly yet. So the car is somewhat bouncy now as I set it to 13/30.

For tires, I changed all 4 from my swollen badly Falken Ziex 522 to Achilles ATR Sports. I got it cos it's plainly cheap.

My intention to change the rear brake to 2 pots did not materialized, so I am using stock rear caliper with new brake pads.

I also booked a used Greddy Profec B EBC and will install before the tuning.

It depends.... a walbro will set you back about rm400 (nz 160 $) but then my airtrek with 130000km only cost rm22000 (nz $8700)......

As a guide though I dont earn that much compared to others but in a year I will make over rm100000. Once I am qualified ( about 6 months) I will nearly double that.

So yes proformace parts are slightly more expensive but then again its all pretty relevant to peoples income.

im getting 3 quarter of ur yearly income(double up in my dreams or 10 years later) yet im buying pretty expensive part n car compare to u.
what a fucked up msia...

Like I said tho its all relative. A house will cost me about rm900000. Insurance etc about rm200 a week. Food maybe rm600. Ands its not even worth telling you all the things that cost alot more. A pack of malboro smokes? Kiss goodbye nearly rm40

earn big,play big,live like king...y not?msian earn small,play big,live like slave...
