Hye,

Im gonna change my rim to new rim but dont know what is the perfect offset for swift?
For 16inch rim, do we need to lower down the spring or stock spring enuf for 16inch rim?
For adjustable, what is the best brand for swift? some people said, TEIN not good for swift, right or not? Where to get cheap japans rim in KL/Selangor? Last but not least, carbon hood, also where to get?

15 inch - normally 6.5jj
16 inch - normally 7jj
17 inch - normally 7jj

My opinion is any rims with width 7jj make perfect even surface between tyre and car body..

So here's some suggestion for Rim & Tyre.

15" inch Rim (tyre size: 195/55/R15) - Feel more pickup, but less good looking.
16" inch Rim (tyre size: 205/45/R16) - Still have some pickup, good looking.
17" inch Rim (tyre size: 205/40/R17) - Feel a bit heavy, better looking.
If you are using stock spring for any sport rim above you will find the gab between tyre and arch almost around 3-4fingers, apprx: 40-50mm.

So here my suggestion for Sport Spring.

*All comparison is based on 16inch sport rim (tyre :205/45/16)

Tien - Price : Rm700-800
Super lowered. (front-1 finger, rear-2 finger)
Feel: so much bumpy.
Cornering: Stiff
Summary: Suitable for super lowered car setup and need to sacrifice comfortable.

Eibach - Price : Rm1000-1100
Not so lowered. (front-3 finger, rear-3 1/2 finger)
Feel: Very comfortable. feels like use a stock spring.
Cornering: too soft for me, not so confident to take a sharp cornering.
Summary : Suitable for family use.

H&R - Price : RM1200-1300
Medium lowered. (front-2 finger, rear-3 finger)
Feel: Comfortable in highway, quite stiff when through uneven road. not too bumpy
like tien.
Cornering: Stiff enough to take some sharp cornering.
Summary: average from between Eibach & Tien, Quite lowered and quite comfortable.
U cant get any setup that can give u both world.

I only suggest 3 top model for your consideration, its much better if you can pairing with MONROE absorber, feel more rigid.

I'm using H&R spring with 195/50/R16 7jj + 45 Offset, will never hit the fender, around 2 fingers gap

thanks guys for your replied and appreciate that, im currently planning to change to 16inch rim with 205/45/16 size of tyre.rim width 7jj all arround but the offset im not so sure for swift.

Try not to go lower than +42 for 7JJ

Are you going to get taiwan/china made rims? Then you have to drive careful as 45 is quite thin and your rims are more vulnerable to impact... Just my 2 cent
