Hi guys n gurls..

since i'm doing some mods on my car now...while swapping engine in progress from 2003 engine(VQ35DE) to 2007 engine(VQ35HR)...i've notice some different between this two engine..

as we have been told..there was 80% different between old n new engine that nissan putted into our Z...so here i share something in case got some member going to own 2007/08 350Z..

1) of course new engine VQ35HR come with dual air intake system..so it is totally different from VQ35DE..kinetik plenum V+ and HKS Suction Kit cannot be use
2) pulley system also totally different bcoz new engine using single belting system instead our 03 engine using double belting system. Because of this i cant use my lighted pulley anymore...wawawawa
3) cat(catalytic converter) and extractor also different..
4) for manual transmission fan....clutch plate for VQ35HR totally different n unique until now japan still not produce any clutch plate for this engine model yet. Only U.S
5) coil system still d same but VQ35HR is using smaller spark plug..
6) radiator+fan also different...so in case ur radiator fan not working..only can use radiator fan which made for VQ35HR only..
7) lastly..braking system also different since this new engine produce more power than old engine.

i believe interior also got big different..will post later after finish with interior...

finally found out dat conrod for vq35hr n vq35de is totally different.

But very sad news to me..

And after almost complete with wiring...n then they started d engine...then we heard some weird sound...n need to dissemble d engine...

here what coz d sound..

since d conrod different from vq35de...so chop shop have no choice to replace me new hr engine...hopefully everything will b fine this time..

i dont want dat engine anymore since they already dissemble it... thanks God they replace with new hr engine...

d halfcut is using NOS when it was at japan...maybe dats coz d overheated...but all other conrod is in very good condition...accept dat one..:hmmmm:

Yeah, probably so....... Love my ride and adore it..... I can always think of newer ways to improve my ride but gals come in a package and find it hard to improve or change at all.....
