why does the new proton satria cps have so many problems and also i feel the rims look ugly , personal opinion wud be to change to bigger rim and add spacer bcoz the rear arch more wider then the rim so looks very cheap body enhancement, if anyone notice when ever the body becomes wider spacers are needed to make the wheels come out

I orderd my cps about 3 weeks ago now and they still can't give me a delivery date ...
I hope they will give me positive news soon, I really need my car. Aparently this is normal ... they just have to wait for the factory... Im so confused about how their system works. You buy a car and they tell you 1 month, and then they can't tell you when you will get it

i just want to share my disappointed here bcoz until now i still not get my neo cps. i already book the car on 13/4/2009 and my loan approve a week after. until now i still didn't get my car..:(

Just wanna ask you, what do the dealer normally give when you purchase neo cps from them? (E.G, stering lock, fuel or whatever), can you please share with me? And just curious...
I saw in website, the price of white manual neo cps is 57 313....so i got rm 57 700 loan from the bank...but the dealer mark up the price to rm 57 763 (black manual transmission price) so they can give me more gifts i guess...anyway, what should RM 57 313 consist of apart from the car? what about the Insurance? JPJ registration? Normal plate number?
Now, the dealer ask me to top up rm 63 for the car price and rm 50 for the runner to register my car at JPJ... can anyone help me on this? dont want to get cheated...

anyway, im taking full loan...

if u going for the black, its a metallic, additional rm450 is needed.
for jpj runner, rm50 or bit more is their normal charge if u need them to do express registration, i mean the road tax is out within same day without u being present at jpj..thats their service charge.
so no problem with it....free gifts is up to u to nego.....with the sales rep. usually they will give some goodies.... check the car thoroughly and insist to do a complete check b4 signing off the acceptance form.

I talked to my seller yesterday to ask him for an update on my CPS. He said that production will start to produce at the end of this month .... so proton HQ should get A new batch during November... I hope hes not saying BS im getting sick of waiting!! People are telling me to just change cars but I just want my CPS!! hehe

Hav anyone of u hav tiz kind of "tappet" sound comin from ur cps engine when ur car goin slope witout enough of power?

It sounds like "kelek kelek kelek", similar to those 15 to 20 yrs old carbie proton saga or wira when goin up to genting witout enough power and at high gear.

I manage to hear mine just now when out of my way from basement parking to a slope up with 1st gear...can hear the "kelek kelek kelek" just like tappet sound...

2. I got my car after 4 months I booked in proton Ampang somewhere in march. promise after promise, week after week i change my salesman after got so tired with empty promises and BS. I re-book it from proton in semarak. I got my car after 1 mth booking there. atleast they are efficient and no BS. according to my freind, it's best to always call I care and Nag to them (i- care loved to be nag) about how long you waited for you car. They will eventually register your name straight to the production site (i.e Therefore your car from the factory would be registered under your name, so that your proton sales centre can't sell it to other ppl, or something like dat i heard)

3. I'm having problem wif my CPS. every morning, it's dificult to engage to 1st and 2nd gear (it's tight even though i have press the clutch to the max). but after 10-15 minuite run it's okay. i did complain this when i did my 5k service. they have change the gear oil, and could not detect the problem. (i didnt leave my car there). Anyone with any advice?

4. CPS lover, the tepet sound is not a big deal / nothing major (assuming the sound is your tepet), most proton car would have that problem if during the run-in you rejan your car or go long distance. all you have to do is just to go SC they'll fixed it at brezzee

Nope no such problems on mine.
Just that now I have a cracked and scratched rear fender~ stupid me and lousy carpark.

Proton servicing really headache, u can never rely on them to do a good job. Majority are unskilled, just have a 'tidak apa' attitude, and over charge. Whether your Proton is a Saga, Perdana, GTi, Neo etc, you get the same treatment, and you will be dissapointed every time you send in to them for servicing.

If your car is jerking when you floor, you are probably facing not a good fueling mixture. Better send to do a dyno test. Last time my GTi had this problem, when floor the pedal the car will keep jerking (and a lot of popping sound). But if drive slow its fine. Sent to Proton service centre 3 times, and everytime they bill me for service charge, but yet unable to rectify the problem. Got sick and tired of their inefficiency, I sent to workshop outside to check. They found out that 1 of the spark cable is faulty which made the spark unable to light up when flooring pedal, but light driving it is fine. They replace the cable and it was working fine.
