Saga: The cheapest car available?

Bro have you test drive Saga before you purchase it? Then u'll knw whether ur car got prob or not (well, sikit sikit) if it differs from what u'd tested.

I bought from a small branch. No test drive available :-(

I think the engine not yet smooth la...drive for 5000km and after 2nd service...should be alot better =)

yeap....I think so....let's see after 1st & 2nd service.....

Day 4
1. Close door sound like closing a toyota hiace truck door.
2. The ghost sound getting slower.Only after driving 200km +
3. Suspension sucks. even after changing to GAB HA Series, it still sucks.
4. Engine not so quiet compared to other Proton models. Maybe because iafm. Donno la, my housemate persona doesn't make that kind of sound.
5. Is it normal for the engine to shake a bit during engine startup? Bring back the old memories starting a lorry (diesel) engine

1. All 4 doors got vibration sound.
complaint it on first service interval. better go to COE.
2. When I put the gear to reverse, got "yuyuyuyuyu" (ghost) type sound. Seems not normal
that is whining sound from CVT box. if too loud get it checked immediately.
3. Wheels not aligned properly.
just get it alignment at outside shop.
4. I thought they are using the same engine as persona iafm. doesn't feel the same power as persona.
does it feel lousy than an automatic persona.? supposedly it perform better. or maybe engine haven't break in yet. you also only can feel nice fc after 5000km. try to maintain fully synthetic oil if possible.

will follow ur advice.....I'll go to COE for 1st service....gonna prepare a long list of complaints... :-)

fuiyooo...so must ready to face problems with this GB...must have strong mental and emotional.

maybe i get lucky on GB issue..
so far i've whacked my auto box here and there. no bad symptom yet. mileage already 290k km..
but i already install atf cooler..
uses toyota type-IV atf.. 20k km oil interval never missed.

Have you clarified with proton regarding the Ghost CVT and door dancing sounds? I think FLX 1.3 and 1.6 SE doesnt differ much in quality..they are the same car. Only finishes, accessories, and engine are different. I'd driven my friend's FL 1.3 (Not FLX) before and her car has problems as well... RM60 of fuel can only manage to do 200km+, which is not normal. Do you mind to share your FC here after awhile of driving?

as i mentioned before i only test drive..
FC no need to worry as it is a new car.
the engine has not break it yet.
u only can enjoy good fc after 2nd service (5000km) interval.

fyi : a low spec satria neo is way different with full spec satria neo. in terms of fittings quality, padding, sound insulation, etc. mine is hardly driven 4years old car, still no rattling sound. my foreman wife's car is just 2years but driving it feels like driving a Saga LMST.

ermm. i think it's normal kot for FLX. u need to get used to it. btw new hiace door is super solid mehh.

Loll. already chaged suspension.? actually the chassis wasn't designed to attack corner. more to family oriented..

better finish your 1000km fast.
try on highway, rpm below 2.5k to get better fc.
ask them to retune on 1st service.

FC is real high for my BLM but not sure about FLX the CVT ones LOL! You got heavy foot is it? better check LOL!

I drive like a girl....always around 80-100 (max) as it supposed to be runner-in state....just drive slow until 1k service. I'm going to have it checked :-(

From how I drive, I usually if want to save fuel, I just try to gradually step slowly on the gas pedal..to prevent any
hard acceleration which would eventually consume fuel badly...tried a few rev, 1 bar of petrol sure drop after awhile...

Can say is not really good FC at all..I didn't buy it but just sambung bayar for the Saga which belongs to my gf's mum since
she is no longer working. Never like that car at all...even skidded once but that is tyre problem

I'm sure no leaking.....only smell after filling up....normal proton I guess....my neo also smell after filling....hopefully something can be done after 1st service.....the fuel consumption are unbelievable...... :-(

Send the car back to PROTON for detailed checks....

A minor leak is probable as you said got some smell....
