S2000...mrs

I only have bit of info from the chaps who watched it. The Spyder parts are awesome. The whole video is quite good but that is what I expect from those guys.

Tsuchiya drove one of the MR-S (spyder). One driver sucked! he crashed that poor miata.

They have a Touge run between a factory turbo TTE Spyder and the yellow Spyder (TPS) mentioned at the start of the thread. Then the TPS car advances to race an EG hatch Honda

sorry to hijack this thread, but why don't your friend consider an S1 Elise (or mark 1).

wet weight only 730-740kg and the handling is legendary.

in your price range too, there's one in this weeks motortrader at 150k but I know JTcars sold two previously, one sold at 133k.

Only prob. is the underpowered K-series rover engine - only around 120hp.

Here in the UK, it's an Elise-enthusiasts paradise, S1 cars coming on the market every single day, prices around to the 7-8k sterling mark and dropping!
Plus, there's a solid aftermarket/tuning scene - most popular being the engine conversions to either Honda (K20A - 200+hp NA, 300hp SC) and Audi (1.8L 20V turbo, 250hp, 300+hp and up to 500hp). Both are well-established, and done properly, will give a very reliable and drivable everyday car (and superb track car too).

outta from box, S2K is well suited for people who just wants a sports car. Vtec "opens" is a joy to many but to novices in touge, it can be really tough to handle in twisties.

the conti's selections are generally for well heeled guys to stalk at "happening" places not for real usage.
